To my knowledge, they have always been private. Unless you had to register to see them. Ofc I never registered.

Our application forums have been public until about 3 days ago when we realized DU officers were literally harassing every single one of our competent apps. They would say things like "we want to talk to you about your application with EI".

I have no idea what they say though because we raid a 3-4x less than them and progress just as fast.

Addressing the incorrect information. Thanks.

No one cares about your raid progression. They do care about douche-baggery. Peeping on other guild's apps and then soliciting their applicants, whether you care to admit that was done or contemplate the possibility that your officers were doing that, is douche-baggery. Trying the ol', "well those apps are private...<cough>now<cough>..." bit won't fly here since most of the people here aren't rerolltards and trashfers and have some clue about what goes on with other people who are and have been part of the server community.

In short, what your guild, or at least its officers, was doing was poor form, and you deserve any bad reputation and/or karma that comes from it. Too bad for you that you can't just whine your way into silencing your critics here like was done over on the official forums.

Jubber

I also heard that making threads on an unofficial WoW forum with issues of another guild is helpful. If someone has issues with a guild, the best route to go down is talking to its leaders. Trying to convince people that a guild is trash isn't very useful. I know nothing about DU's recruitment process, nor do I really care to know. If it happens to be of poor form, which I agree "ninja recruiting" people from EI is bad form (not saying it has happened, I have no clue), then you probably don't want to recruit those people anyways. If they decide to join DU because they can offer more purples, then that goes to show what their mindset is. "Join the guild that can give me more loots." And I'm pretty sure EI isn't interested in picking up people like that anyways.

Apparently it is helpful, because the dirty laundry is aired and no one can run screaming shrilly to Mommy Blizzard to take it down so that their widdle feewings aren't hurt.

I also doubt quite sincerely that talking to the guild leadership would do much good if they're the sort of motherless asshat fucktard cockloving taintlickers that would behave in such an underhanded fashion in the first place.

Not caring what the people you affiliate yourself are up to is at least as bad as jumping guilds for "more purples," especially if you're going to attempt some pseudo-defense full of feigned objectivity and admittedly apathetic ignorance.

When this first came up in conversation on the realm forums (even though it was in passing) it apparently motivated a ban. This thread was created for the sole reason that your pals in DU decided to report away their problems on the official board.

Nobody's forcing you to be here, you know.

That's fine. All I'm saying is that its rather silly for you to ask people to talk about this on the realm boards when this thread was made because someone already did and got banned for it.

Chances are it was deleted because posting recruitment on another guilds recruitment thread is poor form.
