I never got the point of playing the beta of MMO's. I gave away all of my WotLK/TBC invites, why are you playing?

For me, it would make the release crap. Losing all of the progress you made would suck, also eveling once is tolerable but twice would make me raaaaaage.

I beta tested the shit out of SC2 and didn't regret it one second.

Agree 100% but I still like when Mord inevitably gets every MMO beta ever and spends the next few months burning out on unfinished buggy content and never playing the actual xpac when it's released.

If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.

I played the wrath beta to level 78 on my warlock.

At release, I leveled my druid and managed to get realm first 80 tauren without trying at all. In the beta I took my time and read all the quests/really enjoyed the content. At release I said "ok gj, I know all this already" and plowed it like a whore in 4 days. I honestly wasn't expecting or trying for a realm first at all, and I even worked 2 full 8 hour days the Thursday and Friday after release.

So if anything, playing the beta made leveling slightly less painful, and quick enough to not be bothered by it.
