wowhead seems to be slow as fuck lately. taking 2+ minutes to load even the main page

I do not know everything, so no, I cannot.

Wowhead has been slow lately and something in how the page is designed prevents it from loading its own content until it gets the material from Wowhead. That's not what I know personally, it's merely obvious to everyone by observation.

I think it works something along the lines of: The Wowhead script this board uses waits until it gets a response from the Wowhead servers before fully loading and displaying the page. If there is no response, it waits until it times out, and then displays the page. So, when Wowhead acts up, shit gets real slow because it's constantly waiting for connection time-outs.

The workaround would be to block Wowhead using noscript, and the solution would be to get a new wowhead script for the forums.
