I'd kill for a bitch that makes a lot of money and be her housewife.

I can cook, clean, defend from terrorists and balance a checkbook.

You say my views are sexist. So do you believe men and women are totally equal? Why be unreal? What's to be gained?

Men and women aren't equal. No one is really. To say that things have been this way forever and so it must be right is silly. Times change, people change, entire species evolve. Maybe it is man's turn to slave over a hot stove, get beaten, be the sex that is targeted by rape, be the ones who sit at home and cry because we feel used, deal with women looking at us like we're some sort of object, to be the ones with the sweet ass jobs doing nothing more then walking people to their seats or dancing around half naked.

Though I see all that happening to be as likely as men getting pregnant. We're definitely a more equal society, even if not a perfect one. I see nothing wrong with a man staying home to raise the children, cook, and clean while a woman goes out and works. This all kind brings me to ask . . .

What does being a man mean to you? What do you feel is the way a man SHOULD be? What about a woman, what/how should she be?

On a related note I'd love to see a movie about the role reversal of men/women. Much like the film "White Man's Burden".

The world needs all kinds. Isn't it a judgement to say that someone else's life work is less worthwhile than someone elses? So isn't what is actually happening is that people are merely being controlled by a new injustice? Who's to say that what is new is right or better?

To answer your question: I think we live in a society with a great deal of confusion. I don't define myself in terms of my gender, but then, I am quite removed from general society because I do not identify with it. I think men are more straightforward and critical than women, and as everyone knows, those are qualities I put a high price on.

I'm not saying anyone's life work is worth less than the next person's even if it might be. We all have our strengths and our weaknesses, they're all different. I'm saying we're at a point where everything should be about equal, we've got fat men and fat women. Stupid men and stupid women. Stay at home dads and stay at home moms. It's all about choice. I'd like to believe that everyone kinda doing what they wanna do is a good thing. Originality is worth a whole lot more to me than anything else.

It's like your second answer, you chose to be who you are regardless of why you did it. You didn't chose to be what anyone else wanted you to be. You shouldn't be looked down upon for that. That is all I'm saying.

I'd totally be down with being a stay at home dad. Then again, half of being a stay at home dad is what I'm doing as a career anyways.

Well, on a biological level, it's the key to our survival as a species.
It leads to more new and possibly exciting ideas.
It's a good sign that a potential mate is someone special and not just another clone or re-run.

I guess it all depends on what level of originality we're talking about. I was speaking more of a personal/friend level.

Just like in Romeo & Juliet, it's immature and betrays a lack of perspective to believe one's spouse is "special". For every Jack there is a Jill - but then if that Jill were never born it'd be someone else. After all, doesn't the high divorce rate prove that's self-defeating?

Jack without Jill is a sad, angry and bitter Jack.

You'll find your Jill someday, Aestu.
