I have dreams that come true, but they're not usually portents of dire future events, they're generally just weird random "you will see this box of cereal at the grocery store" type things. I usually forget about them when I wake up until I have the deja vu moment when I see the box of cereal or whatever. This seriously happens, not making it up, and it's goofy as fuck.

I have a nightmare from time-to-time where there is something in the room with me, and it scares me so bad I can't breathe or make noise. Then I get extremely angry and go straight from little bitch to curb-stomper and wake up screaming and grabbing for things. Freaks Karen right the fuck out when I do it.

I think these may be some of the reasons I don't sleep, or at least don't sleep like I should.

Your Pal,
Jubber

I had a dream where i died.

I havent had a real dream since/remembered one.

I had a recurring dream when i was young where my stuffed animal would start to multiply, and id be super awesome happy, but then there were so many that i started to drown. I awoke in a puddle of drool-filled pillows.

I am THE man.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."2

This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.

With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith, we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

And this will be the day -- this will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning:

My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.

Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim's pride,

From every mountainside, let freedom ring!

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true.

And so let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.

Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.

Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.

But not only that:

Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi.

From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

And when this happens, when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Free at last! Free at last!

Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!

I knew this was coming the moment I typed "I had a dream". Just took a while.

This is what always happens in mine. That or I get like stabbed or eaten alive and then wake up. Technically, I never died! Take that dreamgame.

I almost always realize I'm dreaming as soon as anything big happens in my dream, then I take control of it and manage the outcome. About the only time this doesn't happen is if I've had some alcohol, or some other depressant. Then, the dreams might flow without my interference. My problem is seeing things when I'm not asleep. :/

That's really all deja vu is, and it happens to everyone. I don't remember the specifics of why it happens that way, but needless to say none of us are prescient, and it's our brain playing tricks on us.

Dreams are not bound by time. Assuming you're still capable of tapping it, then the past or the future holds no meaning.

When you're "awake", you're bound by certain constraints that allow you to experience time "normally". Of course, time is subjective when awake, so your "normal" may vary.

@Necra, I can explain it, if you so desire.

If you're referring to deja vu, that's nonsense. The dream part of deja vu never actually happens; we just think it looks familiar and rationalize that we must have dreamed it sometime in the past.

Hmm. Everyone should keep a dream journal each day. In the morning write as much as you can remember. Then, whenever you get Deja Vu you can actually see if it's an event your dream foresaw or as Tuhl claims, just our minds playing tricks on us.

I have Deja Vu once every couple months.

You're in a protective role. You're being tasked with an opportunity to not only defend, but also learn and teach.

You will be presented with choices, some of which will affect the fate of others. You were being shown that those you supposedly know, you don't, and those you don't, you do. That's why you were shown what your choices will do in the fashion you described.

Between the two choices you were presented, you were shown that actually helping an innocent versus getting in between something you didn't understand fully would be the better of the two choices.

And to touch upon what someone else mentioned, trolls will be out-trolled.

I could post something here to prove that's correct, but I do not have permission from the other participant in that conversation.

Very interesting. I will have to ponder on this. Thanks.
