This thread just reminded me of something, went to check up on it now lol.

Nine days ago (according to gmail) this girl I haven't seen in 4 months randomly added me on Facebook. She was in one of my classes, we barely spoke but we did a project together. Anyways, I accepted the friend request and just wrote something short on her wall like "Hey! What have you been up to this summer?"

I don't find her attractive physically, socially, or intellectually; plus FB says she has a boyfriend. Not interested in any of that, just being nice and I hate it when people just add each other on FB for the sake of adding eachother. Yeahhh +1 friends! Fuck that, I have like 55 friends on FB and I could probably delete half of them pretty easily.

Anyways, mainly I check FB when I get e-mail notifications. I didn't get any for a couple days, I thought it was weird someone would add you then not reply to a message but I couldn't care less about this person so I never went to her page to attempt to see what was up. This thread sparked my curiosity, so I went to look for my message. Can't find it. Look through my friends list, not there. Maybe she deleted her account. Do a search, nope there she is right there. She added me as a friend, only to delete me a couple days after without saying a word or any kind of response. I didn't care for her one way or another before, but now I just think she's a bitch.

I went to some fireworks festival with my friend(who's a girl) and she brought her boyfriend. At the festival we sat with his friends and his sister and her boyfriend.

He vaguely introduces who's who and throughout the festival I talked to my other friends who was there without looking or even speaking a word to his sister.

I get home, 2 days later I have a friends request from his sister. The thing is my friend(who's the girl) isn't even friends with his sister on facebook. Regardless I accepted it but it's still awkward.

Sounds like she's too stubborn to back down before fully gauging your interest but to shy/awkward/quiet to just start chatting you up.

There's my theory on that one.

"Drop me a line once in awhile if you get bored or have something to say."

That is the most confusing sentence I have ever seen. "If you get bored" is an open invitation to just send a message any time you feel like it, but then she follows up with "or have something to say." You guys seriously know people who talk that way?

The only time I would use that sort of phrasing is to indicate to someone that they're wasting my time and need to fuck off.

So here's my take:
The ending is the most important part of most messages (as it is generally the summation of the message being conveyed), and when you combine it with the first part, it looks like the "get bored" part is her telling you to find something else to do with your time so that you're not so bored that you feel compelled to message her whenever you see someone that looks like her.

This is just my take based off the structuring of the sentence and the words and phrasing chosen...and the fact women are the root of all evil.

I think what you meant to say was who gives a shit. Even if you do message her again and she's more straightforward in her lack in interest then then who cares then too? Haven't seen her for a year anyways, don't have much to lose whatever the outcome is. I personally probably wouldn't because she blew you off once already and didn't really give you an enthusiastic response the 2nd time around, but it's not one of those dude you're an idiot wtf are you doing moments either way.

Maybe she is just bad and should feel bad for not possessing a superior of writing like I do.

Maybe she's just one of those people who hates when she gets a text with no purpose?

Person A: Hey
Person B: oh, hi
Person A: What's up?
Person B: um, nothing really
Person A: Oh, cool.

10 minutes goes by with nothing said, end of conversation.


Personally, I hate that shit. If you send me a message, you better have something to say. Otherwise you're just wasting my time and my texts.
