I think there is a small minority of us here still wondering about towels and pants.

BTW, I had a new found respect for Peter Jennings that day. I always liked him as a reporter because it he was professional and concise about his reporting. I only watched his report during that day and realized around midnight that he had been on the air since around 9 that morning. he looked frazzled, tired, and just worn the fuck out but he kept going like a professional reporter should. He along with Dan Rather were about the only reporters I ever though were worth a shit and I was actually sad when he died becuase I knew they would replace him with some retard or some botox bimbo.

Yeah, Dan Rather was really pro until he went psycho and got all obsessive about W and ruined his career over it. It put a real shabby tarnish on an otherwise stellar career. Shame about Peter Jennings, too, he seemed pretty cool when he was a guest on The Daily Show a few times.

Oh, yeah! I think we're potentially discussing valuable knowledge that might change my perspective regarding tattoos on women.

Not trying to be a dick here but it's clear some people in the thread take this pretty seriously, I am all for joking but it almost seems to belittle the subject.

IMO comments about Akiina and her towel/hair/legs etc should move to new thread.

Was in college, just left my morning Art class and went in the cafeteria, all the TV's had the image of the first tower right after it was hit.
I didn't think too much of it except "wow another asshole tried to bomb the World Trade Center".
Skipped eating cause the cafeteria food was horrendous.

Went back to my dorm room my roommate was sleeping I turned on my tv and started to watch the news.
Then I watched the second plane hit the tower live right on TV and at that point I was like "yea this is bad" then woke up the roommate
and started watching the news all day with everyone in the dorm cramming into different rooms and watching it.
The college told everyone to go home if your able too.

I remember turning on Diablo 2 and playing it while watching the news and everyone in the chat rooms were going crazy about it,
then the towers fell down live on TV and I couldn't help but feel like this was something out of a Die Hard movie and it was surreal.

I'll admit it was upsetting but couldn't help feel excited a little that something epic and changing was happening live that you would only see in films.

Later that day me and friends got bored and went to get lunch and went bowling.
The place was dead except for one worker and we watched the news while bowling.
Then I just went home to my family and I didn't think anyone went to school the next day.
Then found out about my cousin who worked near the WTC and always ate by there for breakfast, he was ok.

I hope the next big exciting event is like Alien Contact or Invasion or something.

I was in 8th grade. I had a bad feeling when I woke up and stayed home from school. I was on my computer in my room. My mom poked her head in my door and said "a plane hit one of the twin towers" and I turned on my tv. At first it just seemed like one of those "what the hell happened? was the pilot drunk or was there mechanical failure? why would a plane be near the towers?" I watched live as the second plane hit, and then realized it wasn't an accident at all. Watched the news and cried all day. I cut out a picture of the towers from my history book and taped it to my desk. It's still there.

My roomate always got up before I did, so he came downstairs bangin' on my door telling me to turn on the TV right after the 1st plane hit. Neither of us made it to work that day, and several other people ended up at my house.

I grabbed the TV out of the computer rack, and set it up next to the main TV in the living room, we had 3 news casts going pretty much all day since the big Sony had a split screen feature to show two different channels.

Sorry, thought we needed the levity. Don't want things to get too heavy.

I still use it to pee with regardless of any of the other functions it no longer serves, thank you very much.
