Yes, I used a derogatory term. It is, however, what they started out calling themselves before they realized it had other connotations.

They are blindly letting themselves be led down a path most of them would otherwise choose to disdain. They have no idea what the backers of their "movement" are truly after. I honestly have no idea what these people really think their "cause" will accomplish for them.
Yes, I think most teabaggers are misguided. I also think the majority of them are outright stupid for not using their brains like they should. They consume the air that other intelligent people could consume. They believe they are doing the right thing, but don't bother to check the facts, and are attempting to lead our nation into some kind of Orwellian corporate controlled world.
Or maybe some kind of Huxley-esque world. I don't know if that would be worse. At least with Orwell, you know you're being oppressed.
