I was out seeing Machete (which is as ridiculous and funny as I expected) and I see this trailer.

1) animated films are all dubbed. the characters are not actually speaking. although yes, i have watched anime in both english and japanese.

2) old jackie chan flicks are best watched in chinese, as the dubs are fucking atrocious.

3) i'm not one of those nerds that regularly watches anime though. i appreciate it, don't follow it.

the actors are working their craft and taking care to do a good job. the person doing the dialogue in another language usually isn't.
