I'm not sure. if it's an open relationship I sure as hell am going to. If not I probably won't.

I've been the other guy before. She wasn't married, the guy was an absolute asshole who treated her like shit, and honestly he deserved it. We didn't get caught and he never found out but it's still something I really regret.

But do you regret it because it was wrong, or because she gave you STDs?

The real question is, can you take him?

If yes, do it.

I'll let you know which states still have active "He Needed Killing" laws when I get to that part in Criminal Law. I'm guessing none of them.

In case it wasn't totally obvious, I don't mean this. No matter what, even in a situation where the man banging your girlfriend is blameless (didn't have the slightest idea she was in a relationship), you're going to resent him for it. Rationally, I think no less of him. On a personal level, it fucking sucks.

The situation you describe isn't cheating though, some people are just low lives, that's more harassment than anything else and I don't blame you, though it is not something I would do myself unless it was really overboard. But I disagree with the cheating thing, the problem isn't between you and some other guy. It's between you and your significant other. You're not going to be buddy-buddy with the guy or like him at all, but wanting to kill him and blame everything on him is just deflecting the blame to the wrong places.

edit: I also agree the situation is different if you know the 3rd person in the equation being cheated on.

It doesn't end up just between you two though, as tuhl said. You don't think rationally once it happens, you're just a clusterfuck of pissed off and emo.

Dudes have enough issues with you shacking up with their ex, fuck me if i'm gonna get in between a man and a chick he thinks is currently his.

It's not even an issue of ethics for me.

I've never understood this line of reasoning. She maybe claimed he was an asshole...and maybe he was, I just don't buy it as an excuse to cheat.

I dated this one girl...we were talking, and somehow it came out that she slept with a guy for 8 months who was engaged to another girl.

Obviously, I was like...woah wtf...and this ho tried to reason it "oh the girl was a total bitch!"

At that point, I realized I could never trust that girl as far as I could throw her. That was the end of that.

Not sure about the rest of FUBU but I would definitely agree there would be no part of logic or reason had I found out my wife cheated on me pre kid. If she did it now I would just walk away because of my son.

Pre-kid though, the dude better hope he was able to take me. :)

I know it isn't rational but like you said it's instinctive. Just be higher on the food chain then you can go fucking with people.

I am (or at least used to be) pretty high on the food chain (now I've swallowed too much of the rest of the chain and am a sloppy fuck), and such behavior still wasn't tolerable.

It's a pretty terrible feeling to be waking up, looking around and commenting, "Man, you and your brother must be really close, you've got a lot of pictures of the two of you together in here," only the get the response of, "that's not my brother, that's my husband."

On the one hand, if she doesn't care about her marriage, why should you? On the other hand, nobody should even want to be that guy because he eats hickory smoked horse buttholes from a cup and doesn't brush or floss.

Its instinctive, and perfectly logical. Since an organisms main function, apart from living, is to reporduce, each organism must try to attain the tools or resources or whatever you would call them to reproduce as much as possible. If a man has all the women, hes able to get it on and have lots of kids. If another man moves in on one of his women, and gets one pregant, thats atleast one slot of reproduction that is lost for the man who "possesed" the women. Could be more if said woman dies due to complications or whatever may arise.

I am THE man.

THIS IS HOW THE WORLD WORKS

Laws don't govern empathy and sympathy. We live in a country which specifically doesn't even have good samaritan laws, at least not on a federal level.

The only difference between Aestu and everyone else is he doesn't pretend to feel bad when he doesn't give a bum a quarter.
