you should have just started linking the shit out of all their naked photos to the guild and had everyone comment on what was wrong with them(visible to the applicant of course)

I agree with you. However, it's not my call, because it's not my guild.

But because I am and have been in guilds like this, who's friends of friends of unknowns have joined, stayed, and just sat there contributing little, I try not to judge another guild based on the few mouthbreathing inhabitants I happen to come across. This isn't to say I haven't dismissed an entire guild because of them before, but I usually try not to.

It does annoy me when others do that to Twisted, because despite my own opinions of Twisted, usually I do care about the reputation my guild tag holds. But not only can I not expect everyone to have been in guild situations like I have as I stated above, but there's also not much I could do about a 300+ member guild that isn't mine to do with what I please.

That is exactly how I felt when I saw Disishowiwin with an RM tag. RM had always been one of "the" guilds to me, along with Dissension and a few others, but they dropped a peg or so after that. No offenss to the Rm peeps since he is now in some upstart guild after taking another of his breaks for football, rocket science or whatever other lies he comes up with.

As you may guess, I really do not like that kid, just fyi.


Yeah that guy didn't strike me as the brightest. However, as far as having friends of friends in guild... well, when you have someone you want in your guild (a solid main raider), and they have an RL friend who just wants to be able to chat with their friend in guild chat while they play (an entirely reasonable thing), who cares?

That's why we have a rank called "Friends" and that's where he was. If someone is really annoying to us, we'll kick them.
