I don't think I would call that short.

60 isn't short at all. Most stand alone "stories" are usually only 20-30 episodes so I'd hardly say 60+ is short.

Pff, they're within 2 years of each other.

I don't consider 60 episodes short, and I think most shows that run much longer end up inevitably running out of steam. (Yes, I know Naruto has like 400 episodes, no I've never watched any, and yes I hate you for liking it no matter who you are or what your excuse is).

Naruto provides my child with a wholesome inspirational story that emphasizes perseverance and striving for personal excellence while also keeping his fucking yap shut so I can do stuff without him bugging the fuck out of me. For this reason alone, your point(s) regarding Naruto are completely invalid.

I also like that it is chock full of violence, because the pussification of American Culture is abhorrent to me and I want my son to think it's perfectly OK to pull a guy's face off so long as you're doing it for the right reasons.
