Anyway, his name is either :

- Bullshit

And you guessed it... he's black.

In all seriousness though, I'm not sure how long it takes for an otherwise unusual combination of letters to be recognized as a name. I mean, who the hell would name their kid Steve if it didn't have centuries of precedent?

That being said, I'm not trying to argue most of these stupid-ass names are on the level.

I'm generally ambivalent about people with weird names.

I do think the cause and effect is being reversed in that link though. Generally speaking, you don't end up in a bad situation because you have a stupid name, but you end up with a stupid name because you were born into a bad situation.

Or more clearly, if you have dumbshit parents who can't spell, they are a) more likely to be poor and live in a bad environment for raising kids and b) more likely to give you a dumbshit name. And being in that bad environment, the kid is less likely to get a good education and have many real opportunities to escape the ghetto.

Hence, the examples of breaking out with a dumbshit name is basketball or other areas of physical greatness, which is just as likely to flourish in a poor neighborhood as anywhere else.

But hating on someone because their parents were stupid is kinda dumb.

True, but I think hating a cultural trend as well as the many people within the aforementioned culture who perpetuate said trend (by continuing to give children these retarded ass names ) is perfectly valid.
