@Explosive Shot

Can someone please tell me, how the fuck, my explosive shot lands, does damage, misses, misses, (second one), misses, damage, damage.

I have 8% chance to hit and I was shooting at a dwarf hunter. Explosive shot landed on him but for some reason it was missing. Maybe I'm just really bad and I'm missing something important here, idk.

I leveled marks/bm and only specced into surv once to try. But the tool tip says fire damage so I would guess it falls under spell hit. Also, did the other hunter happen to maybe hit deterence or was a belf?

If the shot lands the only thing that should happen next is partial resists if you don't have spell pen.

"resist" and "miss" show up differently now though.

Each point of hit rating = more spell hit % than melee/ranged hit % and the spell hit cap is lower, so this was not a factor.
Furtermore, as stated below it was a dwarf hunter and deterence does not stop dot damage.

They were misses, not resists or partial resists and it was a dwarf hunter, no resists anyways. Though I've been meaning to gem spell pen, not sure how important it is as anything short of marks. Should I get spell pen cap asap or?

Unless you like explosive shot getting partial resists, yea.

ty sir, wasn't sure about Surv, knew about the other two though. brb gemming spell pen asap unless best western fucks me again lolol
