I have a iTouch and the apps really come in handy for all sorts of shit. For example, it kept me alive when I was doing jury duty and the unit converter I have is great for whenever I go to the store to pick some things up.

It fills in all of those "damn, I wish I had xxxxx" moments.

EDIT: Most of the good apps are free anyways, with the exception of Peggle.

Unless you have an old phone that only makes calls, you can do pretty much everything on it already. Jury Duty is kinda different since they don't allow phones, but if you get a touch with a camera, you wouldn't be able to take that in either (in the courthouses I've been in).

So I can browse then internets and watch youtube on the train. And so I can carry one device on me instead of two.

Jury duty was awesome. Problem was, it was me, some black dude, and like 10 women. So all the reading material they gave us was like "Purse 101" and "Vagina Monthly". So me and the black dude ended up arm wrestling instead. And as it turned out I was an alternate so I didn't even have to vote on anything and I got to stay to see the result. The lawyer were like "OH MY GOD THE ALTERNATE! They never stay." and proceeded to give me highfives. The defense lawyer was all "So what did you think not guilty or?" I told him that I dff would have voted not guilty(I wouldn't lol that dude was hella guilty) and when they voted guilty I was like "That sucks man.".

All in all in, jury duty rocks, suck it up punks.

I own neither an ipod nor a Zune. What Mikebro said.

I also can't be called in for jury duty because I'm a law student.

well right now i have a Sony Ericcson phone, it's somewhat of a smart phone, just lacks a 3.5MM headphone jack on it....and the only way to get one is through a wierd dongle and shit....

Dunno, main reason i'm looking into a Zune/Ipod is for:
Wifi
Games/Entertainment
Music Quality
Something to mess around with on long train rides

Dunno, right now i'm gonna wait till monday to see if the new Windows 7 phones have a headphone jack on them and then make my choice from there.

I didn't ready past the first couple posts and I feel like the conversation turned to phones somehow...

Anyways, I had the same problem a couple years ago and I went with the iPod over the Zune because the iPod has a wider selection of accessories, like car adapters, docking stations, etc. Also, I installed the Zune software and I found it several times more horrific than iTunes. In fact, the Zune software made me apprciate iTunes (which I used to hate.)

And I hate apple... but the iPod is the only worthwhile product I'd ever buy.

dunno, i just wish the Ipod touch had more colors and etching and shit for it's case.....like the Zune has.

Shit the Zune HD has like 6 colors and over 60 designs you can have etched into the case....

If you're worried about it not matching your purse just buy one of the tens of thousands of ipod cases to use it in.

not so much match my purse and shit....just the fact that well.....fuck the Zune just looks better aesthetically....and cases really just make anything look like shit.

Basically the only reason i'm really for the Zune is because it looks better than an Itouch in terms of shape and design...and i probably won't buy a case for either because of the fact that i've never used cases for any of my old MP3 players and shit.

Ipods are nice and all but it's all 1 design and 1 color, cases just seem to add extra weigh and packaging that seems unnecessary...

Eh, i'll prlly just end up stalling this decision until Microsoft makes a Zune client for Macs or i get a real laptop/computer.

I don't really know what could sway you if you're set on the Zune HD since the new iPod Touch kicks the shit out of it in pretty much any way imaginable from the display to the apps to the web browser, etc...

Why do you think the Zune is better, other than the reason you seem to be set on -- it looks different than an iPod?
