Multiple ZDNet articles said that Tuesday was the largest Microsoft update...EVER.

Apparently they were fixing an ungodly amount of 'vulnerabilities.'

Turn off the goddamn update. I never leave it on. If anything, I check the updates and only install the ones I'm pretty sure won't fuckerize my machine.

Wish there was a decent Linux GUI that I could use instead of Windows, but hardly anything runs on any of them, and WINE eats too many system resources.

Pretty sure you can disable the automatic restarts in the windows control panel and set them to manual.
