you're confusing the mayans with the aztecs. the mayans had the hardon for corn. they did bloodlet, though, and the rare human, but not on the scale of the aztecs did, or even american society does.
also, you should read up on hopi prophecy. The white man is considered desynced with the rest of the world's population.
