Here is what I love about the legendaries. Kalmalkin and I have been farming these for a few months. We got enough materials to make one hammer and he got the eye first so we made his, then we have been farming for mine. Now, everyone and their brother are spamming trade to buy or sell items to make these. Sellers are marking things way high because of the desire for the weapons and the fact that lazy people wont farm the mats. Buyers want to lowball everyone they can because they dont see the reason why the materials are prices do high. I have had all of the materials to make the hammer save 7 ignots for 2 FUCKING MONTHS and cannot get another to drop. I run 3-4 times a week with different toons so dont tell me the things are not worth the price tags. When you consider that people are buyting and selling pets for what the ignots cost and the chances of getting the pets are much better, you realize why the hammers are worth whatever anyone will sell them for.

"Anyone can make a baby, but it takes a man to be a father."

Some guys just aren't men.

I'd contend that a father who is present isn't automatically better than someone who's never been there.

I'll agree. I think at this point if I'd been a dirtbag and stayed where I was instead of moving 1k+ miles to be near my son, he'd be better off. It's not like I'm setting a great example under my present conditions.

Depends... you could always take the, "Do better than I have" approach. My parents struggled while I was growing up and they used it to teach me a lesson.

There's some truth to that. To this day I often tell my parents, "I'd be better off today if I was born an orphan."

I don't like the thought that I'm competing with my parents, because I doubt I'd be able to do a better job.

My father was a dyslexic jr. high dropout, and I think he's probably a better human being than I could ever hope to be. He's also an amazing shot for a guy with shitty vision.

Wrong. You can't make that statement.

Everyone chooses their own destiny. You can't blame all of your shortfalls on your parents.

That's like saying "I killed that guy because jesus told me to." It's a copout. You want a different life get off your ass and make it different.

Is it more useless than an Invincible or Mimiron head or a weapon that's going to be replaced at level 82 in two months?

How can you really say anything in a game is "useful"? If you want to judge value by "usefulness" in terms of combat then vanity items should be dirt cheap and ICC BoEs expensive beyond compare.

Exactly what thegodslayer said. I just it's usefulness simply on the metric of demand. It's not that I deem it useless, it's that the market deemed it useless (or at least not having 20k worth of usefulness).

As far as actual usefulness in game, that's a passing thing to be sure. Any item that is useful now will not be soon. But that's just baked into the game economy. People are willing to pay for what is useful now.

Best of luck to him selling it, but he won't be able to.

Also, I'm not sure how you guys got onto orphans and parents and such, and I think I'd rather leave it a mystery.
