No the roles aren't fixed, they just have to mesh.

Dating a woman is easy, meshing with one is not. If you can't mesh, you just haven't found someone you can mesh with yet, but if you can't get your foot in the door, you're doing something wrong.

Well I wasn't accusing you of pretending to be anyone else, just stating a fact. Anyone can get their foot in the door. It's just harder for some people because of who they are. There are ways to make it easier but they're not necassary and you can go too far when trying to get your foot in the door in which case you'll only hurt any relationship you have or could have had.

I strongly agree with the latter part. Real men are unaffected and unassuming; they don't care whether others see them as "manly" or not, they're just focused on doing their thing.

I would never carry a woman's purse or anything like that; I see that as effeminate. Real men don't bother with that sort of stereotyped behavior, or flatter female vanity. They expect women to be self-respecting and not needing to be coddled.

Women who want to be seen as the equals of men while maintaining all the prerogatives of female subordination are the most profound sexists of all.

I carried a purse more than once, more so for the laughs. Carrying a purse is no big deal. Unless it's your purse, then maybe there'd be a problem.
