Children (specifically, anyone below 13) are legally incapable (law, not psychology) of being anything other than rape victims, consent notwithstanding. That's just how it is in this country.

The reasons are likely that children most definitely are incapable of grasping the severity or importance of their actions. I don't give a shit how intelligent and capable of making your own decisions you were as a kid; laws protecting "rebellious" 12-year-olds who want to break mom's rules by getting banged by middle-aged men are a good thing.

Kids are incapable of making big decisions by themselves. That's the cultural standard we apply everywhere.

I stopped reading when Jubber asked to provide documentation of wild animals being gay, because we all know that its the liberal agenda with their "political correctness" and "equality" that are turning our domesticated animals gay.

PS: These same arguments against gay marriage were used against interracial marriage 50 years ago... and you guys got pissed when I called some republicans racist.

EDIT: I read eturnal's post which is basically arguing that pedophilia should be legal, considering that children can give consent (the basis that they can't being the reason its illegal).

- Does the cow give visible consent to sex?
- Does the cow enjoy the sex?
- Do all parties involved with the cattle consent to the sex (ex. if you're fucking your neighbor's cow)?

If all of the above are "yes", I don't see why it shouldn't be illegal. I might not agree with the notion that people fucking cows, but if all of the involved parties are completely fine with it, there shouldn't be any laws prohibiting it.

Also, why does there even have to be a "next"? We got interracial and gay down, the only thing I can really see left is polygamy (which should be legalized so long as all parties give consent) and we've pretty much covered the whole consenting adult/consenting adult spectrum.

PS:

For the record, its never going to be that clear. Children are easily manipulated and can be influenced by other parties that what they're doing is right, hence they can't give informed consent.

Also, I don't agree with the idea of fucking animals, but if the animal's ok with it, I don't see any legal reason to deny people the right to do so.

I say homosexuality is against the natural order. You say it occurs in nature. I ask you to provide documentation of homosexuality in animals that actually occurs in nature, and not in some state of captivity (domestication is not a natural state). Your response? Even if no other animals showed homosexuality and homosexuality in humans was a choice, humans do a lot of things other animals don't. Why should who we choose to have sex with be different? We're the only species that cooks food before eating it, do you hate people who do that too? Anyways,

Same-sex sexual activity has been recorded in lots of animals. We have no way of knowing what or if animals are thinking and feeling, so we can't say that animals are "gay" in the way humans are, but in terms of what we can observe such encounters are pretty frequent. If you'd like to learn more, there's an entire book on the subject:

Now that is an actual legitimate response to the question(s).

However, in the linked video, there is clear non-sexual evolutionary reasons for the pairing of same-sex dolphins, and the only mention of possible homosexual behavior is the rubbing of one dolphin's genital slit with the other dolphin's snout, and if I caught the narrative correctly, researchers weren't entirely sure that was sexual activity in whole or in part.

The description of the book you linked off Amazon notes that the author's view is not the prevailing view in science...and a la Mayo attempts to explain this away as the failings of those the don't agree with the author (I caught some variation of the word <sigh> homophobe in there). If I had the book to peruse, that might change my assessment, but since I can only base my response on the link, I've seen nothing that changes my mind.
