wth they even list their phone numbers the same way as the French do. I realize they speak that there, but still.

I am disturbed by the pillows from Goodwill thing... You do realize that you can get brand new, hypoallergenic pillows from a store like JC Penneys for less than $3 when they are on sale. There are few things I find more skeezy than used pillows.

Clarification: they were large sofa throw pillows, not bed pillows.

Yeah, I would agree buying a bed pillow secondhand would be gross...

I've gotten into the habit of buying Chinese bread at the local Chinese supermarket. I got tired of messing with the plastic every time I wanted a slice, so today, I went and bought a breadbox. There was also a LCD pictureframe keychain for five bucks, new in box, so I grabbed that too...

I'm going to put this bluntly.

Those large sofa throw pillows are the best pillows for the activity in question.

Like mother, like son...

My mother has a fetish for wicker. She collects wicker. She loves wicker couches, wicker boxes, wicker instruments...she quests for "good wicker", which is, to her, distinct from "bad wicker". No, really.

So today, I went to Goodwill, and bought this really nice wicker box! I had just stopped by Target and purchased some brown napkins on sale for $5 for four, and some other items from the discount aisle: a pictureframe for Euphonic (the frame was on sale for $8 and seemed RP-appropriate), some mounting tabs, two 5"-high storage cubes for $2 for both, some more real molasses-and-wheat licorice (my preferred treat), and a really nice ceramic plate with a German manufacturer's marking. The latter appealed to me because, as I said, I don't like mass produced things. The wicker and plate cost $1 for each. It felt kind of weird to have the same...craving...as my mother, considering how perplexed I had been by it. I also bought a nice olive winter coat for $25.

So I put the napkins and my placemats in the wicker box and put it on the nice tea table the previous tenant, some hot Asian chick left behind; she walked up to us in a black sports bra and spandex pants to hand over her keys. I asked the landlord if she came with the place and he looked at me weird. (This may or may have happened). But anyway, her table did, so it was all good!

This seems small and pointless, but I really have a weakness for thrift shopping, and love small victories. Really small victories - I like to make my place of living comfortable with small things.

Is it wierd that I'm really enjoying the music on this site and so I've just let it idle?

I actually thought he looked more like one of the lonely island bros.

Edit: I take that back, it's too tough to call but I think he probabaly looks more like your choice. Or a mix of the two!
