Maybe it works differently up in Boston (which is the worst city on the East Coast) but any discourse that isn't totally worthless will get some consideration down here.

You can get open and free debate. You just can't expect people to take you seriously when you're so goddamn retarded other retards don't want to be associated with you.

I'd have to check, but I did enough college that I could probably go back and take a class or two and get an associates degree. Sounds about the same for Texas...

I've seen Tea Party Supporters (not the psycho crazy, but more libertarian views) right next to Democractic supporters outside the student union and they were able to not want to kill each other during a debate.

at UNCG(thats NORTH CAROLINA) conservatives of any kind are lepers in open discussion.

I think that the fact some professors spend all their time around 18 year old kids and not outside the world of academia in what i like to call the real world is what makes them so goddamned crazy.

Academia, like bias and journalism earlier, are SUPPOSED to be going a certain way, but because of the human element go a different way.
