The reason I was saying what I said is because you're the only one who's got anything to claim. You want to keep your money, no one from either party wants to take Jubber's money because he doesn't have enough of it, and at least part of Callysta's comfort isn't because of hard work.

Apparently people aren't suppose to back ideals to which they aspire if they don't perfectly conform to said ideals...or at least to some other people's version of said ideals.

You should be glad people don't vote the way they live. The electoral map would be so red they'd lease it out for Valentine's Day events.

Jubber

Being a Republican isn't about being in some elite class like you think it is. We're not all rich oil tycoons. We're not all religious, bible-thumping fanatics. We're not uneducated rednecks, either. We just want more control of our lives; we want to keep our money, have less restrictions from the government and we want to make our own decisions. We don't need or want the government telling us how to manage every aspect of our lives when they're clearly incapable of managing their own affairs.

The problem is, you get lumped in with those republicans that ARE oil rich tycoons, religious bible-thumping fanatics, and uneducated rednecks and then call your collective group "republicans." IDK, after giving it much thought, I really don't think I should be hardcore anything until I know more about both sides.

Ha ha. I'm from North Stafford. That makes thing better, right? ^_^ It's no Fairfax... but it's not South Stafford. In all fairness, I'd say I'm on the border of civilization and wilderness. :P (Can I get a pass for working in Centreville?)

So you are one of those crazy commuters! Ok I'll let it slide since you work in the real NoVA :)

60-75 minutes each day... one way. The pay is worth it though.

We lived in an Apt. in Centreville for a bit but in 2007 we decided to buy a house instead. Homes were hella expensive in that area at the time (height of the housing market) so we decided to head south to where I grew up. We got our house for 335K and the comps in Fairfax/Centreville/Clifton were around 500K. :(
