Nah, I just got used to games like Bad Company 2 and MW that Halo physics in multiplayer get annoying... partly for the sniping reason you just stated. Prior to playing those two games all I ever did was play Quake and Unreal.

The thing that pisses me off most in that game is when I aim down a scope of a level 36ish non-hyperion sniper at point blank, aim for the chest, and somehow miss.

That and the fact that the endgame boss was retardly easy along with most of the DLC (Crawmerak was not, then again you could just glitch him)

Was a fun game, just needed more multiplayer elements.....like a CTF or a DM, or hell like gang hideouts and free roam from Red Dead Redemption.

Summary: Amazing Single Player, Bosses were...relatively easy with a couple exceptions, Weapons were.... repetitive, lacked a little bit in the multiplayer department (would have liked to see the Arena's get a bit more attention or something).

Loved it none the less, it's a definite buy if your looking for some time to kill and a solid single player game.

I haven't played Fallout(s), however, i am told they are better.

Fallout New Vegas (read: the only one that you should be worth playing that's come out recently) is only if you have enough time to become completely immersed into the world.

NV is a lot less forgiving than FO3 (ex. no bobbleheads/loads of skill increases, perks every other level, etc) but your stats and SPECIAL mean more, not to mention the story is just about better in every way.

Borderlands if you want a shooter you can just jump in and out of, Fallout if you're looking for something that will easily take the next 2-3 weeks (oh yeah, you also NEED to be REALLY thorough or else you'll miss some of the best parts of the story, weapons, and locations).

Fallout isn't really a shooter, certainly not in the same sense as real FPSes are.

Also, the only real Fallouts are 1, 2, and Tactics. New Vegas kind of deserves to live as well.

I would like to try FO:T.

I've liked every tactics game i've played, and Brigandine is by far the best.

New Vegas made me realize how much I missed the Fallout universe.
Even after my save got corrupted and I had to start over.

Though I'm kinda surprised at how easy it is to make money. Between Blackjack gambling on the strip and playing Caravan against that NCR bartender at Camp Mojave, I had ~60k caps at one time. After buying all of my implants.

Also nerf Cazadores/Boone, buff Securitrons/ED-E.

So, how long has Fallout been around now?

Didn't fallout 1 come out in like 1998 or 1997?

According to my Japanese sources, Fallout's been around since at least the 40s.

I kind of feel like gambling is grinding. I was sitting at ~65k (before I bought 4 implants in a row) purely from scavenging.

Also, having gone full survival as opposed to medicine for healing, I'm pretty sure I never wanna use another stimpack again.

Fallout 1 was 1997, Fallout 2 was 1998. They're infinitely better than Bethesda's Oblivion with Guns.

You should give NV a try, Tuhl.

Its made by Obsidian, it just uses the Bethesda engine.
