We had my grandmother drugged out since she had a massive kidney failure and was absolutely insane (like, ripping the needles out of her arm and trying to run out of the hospital) due to some sort of potassium imbalance. It seems kind of messed up if you didn't see her, not to mention we knew it was coming to an end and it was time to give her some peace.

As masculine as Shepherd's Pie may be, eggs, especially with cheese, is involved in all of the manliest of all types of breakfasts. Pie is also the manliest of all deserts. When you cross something as manly as eggs and pie, and double-down by adding cheese, you cross an uncrossable threshold and achieve a Nirvana-state of awesome. The most manly Omelette Pie would, of course, be made with bacon...or steak, if you're keeping Kosher/Hal'al...OR BOTH IF YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS.

There is no cheese in Shepherd's Pie...nor is there any crust. Shepherds pie is basically beef stew that you put mashed potatoes on top off before you bake it.

Still, I approve of Shepherd's Pie, regardless of whether or not sheep herders are so fucking dumb they don't know how to make a pie.

I had 3 grandparents all drop dead in under a year. Prior to that i'd never even been to a funeral.

It's weird thinking about it comparatively. Just last week a woman at work's husband died. She'd only got married to him this year (old people) and i think they always knew he wouldn't be around for long. What was most weird was that my boss and a couple of other managers went to the the funeral on Thursday. On Friday i asked my boss how the funeral went, and she said "it was weird, they did things i'd never seen at a funeral before". Confused, i asked her how many funerals she'd been to. Her legit guess was over 100. She's like 40.

I hope to Joe Pesci i don't have to go to another 97 funerals in the next 14 years.
