The book is out and I heard from my CEO the book is available in an audio-format where Bush reads the text. You might be able to find it in a torrent for the iPod or something.

Im actually very interested in reading his book.

Unless you're a democrat, then apparently you make a bad decision and when voters recognize that it's a bad decision, you tell them they just think that way because they're "afraid," or they're "frustrated," but at least imply they're stupid.

I know what Godwinning is, references to The Big Lie, which is an invention and tool of the subject(s) of Godwin's Law, lies well within its scope of coverage. While Aestu may not be directly saying politicians are Nazis, he is, if not making the implication, drawing the connection by alleging they use similar techniques.

You have every opportunity to prove me wrong. Hopefully it won't degenerate into English/History fail that way it did for Ethan.

If that's the best you can muster in the way of an argument, I doubt your ability to convince even the sort of people who are so daft that they can't get out of jury duty. Your law school training probably doesn't translate well to the internet since you can't attract our attention with a shiny object.

The difference is "the big lie" is something beond the realm of belief that people will believe simply because it is so rediculous (like there being 2 towns in America under sharia law).

Aestu's comment was simply that people will believe anything despite evidence to the contrary, it does not have to be something egregiously false (It is not inconceivable that O'donnell went to Oxford. You might be able to fit the birthers here as well, as ridiculous as the claim is, there are still a number of people who think themselves experts on Hawaiian birth certificates and refuse to believe he is an American).

I accept that explanation, and hereby remove my call of Godwin Shenanigans...except that I would definitely put the birther idiocy under the BIG LIE heading. It's definitely one of those 'too ridiculous for anyone to be making it up' kind of lies, yet anyone who does even a small amount of research will see it's not true. There's even a birth announcement for him recorded in some newspaper.
