Wait where did you go again?

and yes Hobby is actually a damn good excuse. When I see some of my friends spending money on things like gas powered remote control'd model shit I feel better about my cheap(usually) WoW hobby.

This reminds me of the guy who has 36 accounts and raids by himself, only to put things into perspective. People have hobbies yo

http://www.ripten.com/2008/10/10/wow-wh ... by-himself

lmao

I'd say more people have the Immortality mount than have the old swift red (specifically not ivory) raptor.

Why get a cool raptor when you can get a diarrhea raptor instead?

Technically, it's his parents money.

I was just curious about why his parents weren't pissed, because I know my parents would be (if they had supported me thru college)

Why is spending $2k over four years on WoW more offensive than spending a significantly greater amount (as most college students do) on the things they enjoy?

It isn't. Give me a half an hour and a realistic look at anyone's expenditures and I can point out at least one way they are "wasting" money. The same can be said of my purchases.

It's because like most things related to people, what's "good or bad", "right or wrong", "weird or normal" is highly subjective, and not a single person is exempt from forming or being the subject of logically inconsistent conclusions.

Now there's better ways of doing things than saying living from one hand out to the next and then dropping that cash on non-essentials when you haven't sorted out food, shelter, etc first; but if you manage your money in such a way that you've got the essentials covered and that your "hobby" is a planned expense, there really is no fault anyone should find with the purchase if they were honest with their self about their spending habits.

But then that's the trouble with people, they're usually both irrational and illogical. And regardless of how much effort one puts into fighting the default mode, they still fall short of that mark the more often then they make it.

TLDR? Emotional creatures are emo yo.

There's less than a thousand players worldwide who have the Immortality mount.

I'd wager there's way more with the old school mounts - is there some reason there'd be fewer of this raptor in particular?

It stopped being available very early in WoW's history.

Combination of way less people then, even less that were Troll, and even less that are still around today.
