Not being useable in rated bgs?

-speed/hp/mana potions
-haste potions
-food buffs
-Mind Control Helm
-Rocket Boots
-Etc

Shit just pisses me off about how Blizzard keeps trying to control everything to make it fair and it just ends up fucking everything up and removing content in the interest of maintaining balance WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY ignoring the real balance issues that pvp and the game face.

I JUST finished leveling eng to 450 like a month ago. Dropped mining for it. I'd sooner quit WoW.

Dammit i just leveled Engineering on my Druid. Well, i mean, i could say i'm disappointed, but you would actually have to be stupid to think Blizzard would allow Engineering in rated BGs.

Learn from history.

Blizzard has no idea what to do with their game sometimes.
I find it funny that after two attempts at including engi in high end pvp scenarios, (Only to ban engi later) they're finally going to ban it going into an expansion. I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to allow it at some point during cata because of how imba furry might be.

I just feel like the most competitive teams will have consumables and gadgets readily available, and against other teams that are competitive it will come down to player skill anyway.

The casual teams will get rolled by competitive teams regardless of professions being enabled or not.

It's just shitty that the only viable things that engineering bring to the table (at least in pvp) are being totally disallowed.

Inc professions being removed from raids, and during the leveling process.

I was reminded of something during a raid last night. Lifeblood (herbalism self heal) now gives a heal plus 240 haste. Will that remain useable in bgs, if so watchout for all of the new inc flower picking hippies.

9 level 90s and 10 85s, Damn I need another hobby.

Engineering is leagues ahead of every other profession for pvp, it would be required. I know there will always be best professions, but the difference between enchanting/blacksmithing/JC/Leather/etc isn't as great as the difference between engi and anything else.

Engi toys are the kind of things that could imbalance classes. Those extra stats isn't going to push a rogue or a warlock into op territory, but engi items could do that. They mess with balance in a way that can't be easily tweaked except by removing toys.

After all this time of having engineering, nothing surprises me anymore. Basicly I just use it for world PvP anyways. I don't regret leveling it up though and at least when I jump of the bridge or ledges in BGs, I can parachute cloak still.

Why not buff those other professions instead?

Also, I had an idea for a sort of dualspec for professions.. Once you reach 2 maxed professions, you can unlock a dualspec for professions for a fee that grants you access to a 3rd profession, but you can only have use for 2 at a time.

This would not be strictly used for PvP, think about the PvErs that play a tank and a dps, or a healer and a dps...etc.
