You know, this is another balance issue. They eventually added benefits to gathering professions to put them on par with crafting since there were so many people min-maxing and taking nothing but crafting. Now they can't balance engineering tinkers? Aren't there c/ds on those things for a reason?

Yeah man, 30 minute cooldown on a 15 second slowfall is really fun.

Bottom line = players will find an edge and do whatever they can to make that edge razor sharp. Someone who does not understand how to min/max or make the most of available resources will cry. Blizzard will nerf it "to the ground" and the unfortunate minority that worked very hard to get above mentioned edge are left swinging in the wind.

This is how it works and always have. I took engineering on my pally at level 10 because it looked cool and I thought it would be fun and for the longest time that was all it was. Now it is one of the best professions in game and is getting hit with nerf bats left and right. Anyone remember when the JC Dragons Eye gems were prismatic and one of them could make your meta requirement, two at the most, and you could put them in any color slot ot maximize socket bonuses, yeah, that got nerfed because people QQQQQQQQQQQ'd all the way home so they now have colors based on the stats. When this happened we were suppose to be compensated for the recipes which I think I saw one token out of. What about all of the engineers that purchased ammunition patterns from ICC when primordials were 1500g so they could actually make some money, no with no ammo we just lost the recipe completely. And all of the JC recipes that got deleted but no compensation. Now I am ranting so I will stop.

TLDR = QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ and you will get your way.

Not to mention what a pain in the ass it is to level engineering now without the bullet recipes.

I have three engineers, that is why I am not leveling a fourth.

9 level 90s and 10 85s, Damn I need another hobby.

I leveled Engineering for the same reason Bane did. I thought it was fun. Truth be told, I one of the few reason I did it(much like rolling undead), was underwater breathing. In addition to that I thought the parachute cloak was the shit. Not to mention repairbots, mechanical squirrels, spyglasses, etc. I really enjoy engineering and I'm sad to see it nerfed so hard, but I prefer them ban it in arena than break it completely. I leveled that shit legit, no LOL MAKING LOTS OF BULLETS shortcuts. Just casually leveled it as I went (till maybe WotLK, then I may have powered some of it to get goggles or mailboxes/jeeves).
