OK, now I have flipped through more threads and I see what's going on...
Nechra: I think we just had a conversation on the boards here last week or the week before about funny-stuff/music in threads other than the funny-stuff/music threads. Unless you found some link between the two videos or were aiming at some philosophical (or comedic) conversation about it, you should have tossed that in those threads.
I think there has been fair warning and general consensus about the "this goes here" rule.
Mayo: "Final Warning" is overtly douchey, especially when you don't bother at least linking the rule in violation. It's double-douchey to hit the "final warning" button when it doesn't appear there was any previous warnings. "Thread Locked" isn't a warning.
Everyone Else: Having posted to the BH Forums for a long time before we all came over here, I had a lot of reservations about how this was going to work out with Mayo running the show. I feel I can safely say at this point that those reservations were not justified. Mayo seems to have gone out of his way to put his personal preferences and prejudices aside for the sake of the boards here. He, Tuhl, and I can spend entire threads calling each other stupid without any BANHAMMER chicanery...and we still speak civilly to one another otherwise despite any disagreements (as friends should). Unfortunately, you can't keep everyone happy, and that's life, and Mayo has dealt with it well. Sadly, it's starting to look to me like anytime something like this happens, there's an immediate "WTF MAYO WHY YOU BE A DICK?" I'd appreciate it very much if we'd all (myself included) just knocked that right the fuck off.
Your Pal,
Jubber
I support enough of this not to parse out any minor errors that Jubber made.

Nechra... dude... you're fun and a good forum denizen. You don't want to leave, no one wants you to leave, so just don't. It is that easy. Look at me. I'm GM of a guild that EVERYBODY hates, but I'm still here "happy for their certainty."
Seriously though, one thing that I think comes into play here is that after a while a history develops, and suddenly we feel like we can pretty much do what we want, or we bring baggage from other threads into new ones. Mayo, and the other mods, have a sorry task of enforcing rules against long time posters who don't feel those rules really apply to them (when I am the only one to which the rules don't apply). "I'VE BEEN HERE SINCE THE BEGINNING!" is not an excuse, imo.
tl;dr Nechra stay. Thanks mods. Rules aren't too many.
I'm not saying the rule don't apply to me or to anyone else or that there are too many OR that they're bad rules.
I'm just saying that renaming threads because you think it's funny is childish and dumb, least most of the time. For example when I made that "CoD Black OPs" thread it got changed to "I paid for the same game twice" which could be alot of different games. I didn't even want to read it because I thought it was someone who accidently bought the same game twice and wanted to sell the extra. Then I realized it was me and I was all "Oh lolol".
In regards to me posting a new thread or in a "incorrect" spot. I think it's just silly, sometimes, things just need their own thread. Being, the point I was making, as dumb as it was, was that there were a lot of "Dear SoAndSo" threads. Posting either of those videos in either the What are you listening to now or LARPEXPLOSION threads would have been pointless and redundant.
I post 99% of random crap I find, funny or not, in the LARP thread. I post any new music I may have found or what I may be listening to when I think of that thread, in the What are you listening to now thread. Sometimes, a new thread is needed. Sometimes it is not.
If say I made a new thread titled "We No Speak Americano" and then linked
Yolanda Be Cool - We No Speak Americano, then that is terms for locking/deleting because it should in fact be in the music thread.
It just feels like Mayo sometimes is overzealous. Locking threads early, changing titles, etc. I have no complaints on any of his bans, as most of them were needed or all in good fun. I'd be more than happy to be friends with Mayo, but he and I simply do not mesh and sometimes it feels like he can't get over that fact.
