i think the only real solution to this problem is to give me admin-panel access

Sort of like exactly what's happening in this thread, its a lot easier to sit on the sidelines and heckle than actually do something.

Apparently people want me gone but I haven't heard a damn thing about what direction they'd take the site in if it was in their control. The only reason I'm the voice of FUBU currently is because nobody has picked up the mantle.

-Redesign the site so it doesn't look ghetto (I've never used that word before in my life) - Wowhead's style is good, emulate it.
-Abolish the obsolete portions of the site and make FUBU the front page
-Replace the damn banner
-Stop actioning threads you happen to not like, what is being asked of you is largely negative and not positive

Last time I tried to advertise for FUBU, I got a wow forum ban. Most of the wow community can't seperate emotional arguments away from the person and associate them with something they hate.

I know nothing about programming or sitemaking. Whenever I ask about it I never hear anything from anyone.

This is still the I Has a Bucket guild site. I got admin and was allowed to create FUBU here when I promised to not touch any of the bucket stuff.

Not to mention you can't even see any of the old boards anymore unless I give you special access.

I'll stop renaming threads except in extreme conditions (ex. another you xxx, you xxx thread). However, I stand by each and every one of my serious thread locks and bans/suspensions. If people break the rules and I see it then I'll do what I'm supposed to do.

Is that all you can come up with for wanting me gone?

I don't recall saying I wanted you gone.

First things first: Dear Spacehunter, "honest to Droz" made me lol irl.

On topic, I like to think I'm our most respectable moderator, because I've got little drama associated with me and I actually play the game. On the other hand, I don't quite have most of the fame I enjoyed during BC. But at the same time, I'm not sure respectability matters that much.

Moved to Meta, air your grievances for all to see so that we may either remedy the situation or mock you for your vulnerabilities.

This is missing the point. People shouldn't show up because they were your friends or because they want to hang out with a certain clique, they should show up because this is the un-modded BH forums.

Advertise it as such, and when the new forums come out report the hell out of any thread that seems interesting. Mods nuke threads, people come here.

As a normal forum whore, these forums do look like a bunch of seven year olds post on them. Some peoples sigs are way to big, peoples avatars are so small they are not readable, the general look of the forums is hard to follow for new users.

I have a lot of experience working with phpBB and would suggest a new forum skin. I'm sure you don't have a lot of reign of here to just go changing things like that and what not since I'm guessing this is an actual running guild on Bleeding Hollow, however I would not mind dishing out a few bucks for a new domain/site. I think I pay something like $20 or so for mine? I will check on the price again.

Regardless, you could very well clean this one up a bit to make it more "attractive", or you could leave it the way it is.

When Kamguh posts, it's VERY sore on the eyes to scroll through his entire sig. lol

Sounds like we need to start a new forum that we can change to suit our needs.

This thread consists of almost pure constructive points and criticism, (lolthreadsplits)

So to ask the questions:

- Who should we make "spokesperson"? Jubber sound like a good idea.

- What guidelines should we have on signatures?

Make sig's SFW. people do read this shite from work. Just make sure people know that by posting here from work its not our fault if they get fired.

Avatars/Sigs should always be SFW, I think it's an unspoken rule on any forum.

There should be some kind of guild line on how big a sig can be. Like the avatar (150x150), obviously not that small, I'm just pointing out avatars have some sort of size in place.
I'm still struggling resizing mine BTW. (Anyone have any image resize programs that are free and work on .GIFs?)

What is the rule on NSFW threads? Are they allowed/Not? Should you just put "NSFW" some where in the title bar?

Good question. I'll have to edit that into the rules, not sure how we didn't get it there. It's been an informal rule for a long time now, should have it up there, if for nothing else, the sake of professionalism.

Label threads with NSFW, if the original subject matter is such. Pictures that are NSFW should NOT be used with the IMG tag, but instead with a URL tag and thus labeled NSFW. The button will not do it quite how you want it, so for those who aren't tag smart:

Code:
[url=IMAGE URL HERE]NSFW[/url]

This coding can and should be used for all NSFW links. To be super specific, the thread title or link can have whatever in it, so long as somewhere it says NSFW, either before/after a dash, or in parentheses. NSFW should always be in caps.

Acceptable examples:
(NSFW) Titty Thread
NSFW - Titty Thread
Titty Thread (NSFW)
Titty Thread - NSFW

Never directly link NSFW images.

If you are creating a NSFW thread, put 'NSFW' in the title. If you are contributing a NSFW post to an existing thread, label the link NSFW and make sure it is easily visible as such.
