So as I said, there's a lot of stuff that's been going on around FUBU now. One of the main tenets of the site has been mod to user transparency, so here's a quick rundown of everything that's going to/is happening.

Board Changes
- The Argument Station and Personal Info boards are gone. All material form these two boards has been merged into FUBU.
- Since AS is gone, this means that all of the rules of AS are also gone. All political threads are now under FUBU rules.
- The Stalker thread has been stickied since that was the only thread that really got traffic in PI.
- Meta Discussion will be the ONLY place for discussions about the site (ex. site feedback, ideas, bitching about the mods, etc). This means that these threads will be under the rules of Meta Discussion. If you post threads that belong in Meta in FUBU, you won't get in trouble or anything. The thread will get moved and that will be the end of it. However, we'd really appreciate it if you posted in the correct forum, as it saves us 3-5 clicks.
- The Rules sticky will be improved and has been moved to the Meta discussion of the board.
- The Gamertag and WoW-live thread will probably be merged, but this is really low on the list (IN PROGRESS).
Moderation Changes
- A new rule has been added, bringing the glorious amount to three (3)! (IN PROGRESS)
- There is no longer one admin. The permamods (Yuratuhl, Weena, and myself) now carry the entire powers of the site, which includes banning, moving threads, etc.
- Due to how many teeth had to be pulled for the last election, mod elections are suspended until further notice. There weren't many people that ran (read: all but one got mod slots) and if people don't want to put forth the initiative to run and participate, then I don't really want to go through the hassle of running them (not to mention that there isn't much to mod to begin with). This may change depending on how the site turns in the future.
- New read-only bans are now in effect. For more detailed information, explanations of all disciplinary actions will be added in the rules sticky. (IN PROGRESS)

New rules have now been added and existed rules have been expanded upon. The rules sticky is now up to date and focuses on all sorts of things highlighting the new ban system.

All of the new additions to rules are things that we've been enforcing for a while, I'm just putting them down in writing so people can refer to them instead of having them up for interpretation.

As always, these rules are open for discussion provided its done per the Meta Discussion guidelines.

I'm not big on the destruction of the Argument Station. I understand it wasn't used much, but that was more the failure of the mods than of the board. There were numerous threads that could have been split or entirely moved to the AS, and more warnings given (though mod and non-mod alike were guilty).

I understand that right now it's not a big deal, but if the future does bring an influx of new posters, they might not want to read the boards if half active threads are dem v repub quagmires. It would also allow the AS to be modded a bit more closely, you would actually have to contribute something more intelligent to continue posting.

I suppose my fear is the average bh player spends a little too much time trolling and regurgitating 4chan memes, not the kind of crap I would want here.

Every time I attempted to enforce this, I got the whole LOL EXCESSIVE MODERATION thing thrown up in my face.

Yeah, I know. This way, all of the business goes in one area and everything else is lumped elsewhere.

We were a stickler for the AS at first, but what eventually happened was that only 3 or 4 people bothered to look at AS for new posts. In FUBU there are more voices which makes the arguments more interesting.

Yeah, in truth I looked at the AS maybe a dozen times...I think it's better just to have everything in FUBU.

The realID thread has been moved to the mod forum (read: hidden) due to the fact that some people may not want their emails shown on such a heavily trafficked board.

This thread is currently in purgatory status and I'm not sure if we're gonna nuke it or keep it.
