We're talking about the elemental invasions in Un'goro, Azshara and some other places I think, right?

I'm so out of touch :(

Speaking of world events, I recently found out people universally hated the pre-WotLK Zombie Event.

If you are one of those people, I hope you die. I really, really hope you die.

the only thing I didn't like about it was having to wait 15 minutes for the auction house npc's to re-spawn.

The Wrath event was almost identical to the Naxx opening aside from the zombies.

Plus Zombies had their own language and thus could talk crossfaction if you were both zombies.

I too was shocked to find this out. That event was fucking awesome. Also it was the first time i'd ever really talked to any BH Hordies.

People suck.

The only negative response Blizzard may have gotten from the Zombie Invasion would have been from sub-70s who wouldn't bother to protect themselves from griefers while leveling. And from what a few people in that category have told me recently, the nostalgia of the event has tinted it even for them.

Blizzard is just lazy and doesn't want to put effort into a pre-release event again, so they made up the whole "overwhelmingly negative" bullshit story in order to justify a boring, uncreative event.

I could see PvE fags being really mad that they could die, since the zombie debuff effectively turned you into a mob and let you attack anyone, flagged or otherwise.

Then they clearly didn't realize the larp potential for opening doors otherwise left locked.

If you went to the hyjal portal, blocked by a gate, you could open it.

If you went to the karazhan crypt, you could open that, too.

If you went to stratholme, you could walk the entire instance without aggroing a thing.
