1. You're on Glenn Beck's radio show, which only magnifies the stupidity in this situation.

2. Didn't you just say that you'd be able to beat Barack Obama in a presidential election? He, at the very least, passed middle school geography. Seemingly, you didn't.

1) Glenn Beck, without the over-the-top theatrics, is actually pretty decent to watch and/or listen to. I'm guessing you haven't done either and you're only passing judgement based on what others have said or what little sound bytes you've heard.

2) If we're going to be overly critical of someones obvious mistakes, especially regarding geography, I'd like to remind you Obama said he visited all 57 States on the Campaign... there was one he didn't get to visit... Alaska and Hawaii.

Looks like he failed elementary school geography... and he's bad at math, too? Guess that's why we're pretty fucked.

It's not the theatrics that make him a buffoon, it's his views of the world as a whole. He's a 'born-again' Mormon, after all. Them fuckers is crazy.

He was obviously unprepared. He wasn't in the middle of a speech or interview, while Palin was in either for the majority of her gaffes. Obama was conversing with the audience at a rally. When you're running for president and go into "normal conversation" mode, you don't really think clearly, especially when in front of hundreds of people.

And honestly, how many retarded gaffes have conservatives had in the last few years? I mean, Palin probably makes up a solid majority of those gaffes.

So it's OK for him to be a goddamn clown-ass circus act, but only if he's a liberal?

I don't care if he'd just stepped out of the shower and found Michelle fellating the cat, how the fuck do you come up with FIFTY SEVEN fucking states? Is he from the future or something?

You can't call, "DUR-HUR UR DUMB" on one person for a geography error and then make excuses for your guy when someone says, "but your guy did the same thing, LoL." You know why you're aware of all those "conservative gaffes" and weren't aware you were setting yourself up for "FIFTY SEVEN STATES?" It's because (SHOCKER) the media you consume is biased in favor of Mrs. Palin's distant cousin...just like Eternal's media is biased against him, so he at least knows the president fails hard at geography.

The real question: Is it worse to not know the difference between the two Koreas by heart, or to not know right off the top of your head that there only fifty fucking states?

Answer: Your a dumb fuck either way.

Your Pal,
Jubber

To my credit, I do watch Maddow, Olberman and read MoveOn.org, Huffington Post and even DailyKos pretty regularly. I try to spread myself around (although I maintain my conservative views) so I don't look as stupid as Dagery when it comes to politics.

Edit: Added DKos.

I used to glance at DKos occasionally, they would have some interesting stuff, as will happen when it's an open community.

However recently I can't stand that site. Mostly because it's gone from a collection of liberal bloggers to a collection of "durr the President is a democrat we're not allowed to criticize him anymore" bloggers and people who think that posting a series of pictures of him playing with his daughters is supposed to nullify any said criticism.

Basically, it's gone from a place for discussing liberal politics to a place for uncritical hero worship.

I still prefer FireDogLake for liberal blogging... sometimes they're a little farther out than I would be, but at least they tend to stand for principals rather than politicians. They have no qualms whatsoever telling their own politicians to fuck off.

Oh also, yes it was a slip of the tongue for Palin but a really humorously tragic one.

This isn't confusing two almost identical ex-Soviet satellite states or something, this is confusing one country that is our ally and we went to war to defend, and another country who is easily in the top 5 worst enemies on the globe.

We are well warranted in a good round of pointing and laughing.

I'm not going to listen to the sound byte because i don't like sarah palin to begin with, and don't need any help.

But her geography failings started by the "I can see russia from my house" crap, which was actually said by tina fey playing sarah palin.

However, pertinent to the thread, it is in fact worse to think that there are 7 more states than to get north and south korea mixed up.

especially since one of those people fucking up is in charge of all 50(57?)

Actually the Russia from Alaska wasn't from Tina Fey at all.

First Steve Doocy said on Fox that she had foreign policy experience because Alaska is near Russia. Then later Palin said it herself. Tina Fey was mocking that.

It's funny how people will rely on third party quotes like that, but Fey is pretty awesome so fair enough.

I mean everyone else. Lost count of how many people attribute that quote directly to Palin.
