I'm not sure how allowing people to keep what they earn is "sucking money away from everyone else."
I also wonder, again, why it is that when a republican breaks ranks with his/her party, they're somehow open-minded beacons of virtue, maverick (McCain) examples of bi-partisanship, or just plain saints, yet somehow when four democrats and Joe Lieberman go the other way, democrats "have no spine." If anything, this just proves that when people talk about "bi-partisanship," they aren't discussing the two sides reaching a compromise, they're simply saying that republicans just need to do what democrats want. It's not so nice when that "bi-partisanship" works the "wrong" way, is it?
Furthermore, this is probably the best thing that could happen for President Obama. One of the reasons that job creation is stalled is that the very people the federal government cites as the job creators have delayed taking on new employees because, among other reasons (like "healthcare reform"), they have no idea what their tax liability is going to be. Many of these people are small-business owners who have their businesses organized as a subchapter s corporation. This is going to ease uncertainty, and hopefully spur job growth.
This is the same kind of crap that went down when Clinton was in office that had guys like you wringing their hands and crying, yet all the stuff those "evil" republicans pushed on Clinton strengthened his presidency and earned him a second term.
All-in-all, Bernie Sanders is still an idiot and this is probably the best thing that could happen for all parties involved.
