I'd say the collector's is a waste of money but it isn't, considering you can just hold onto the pet for 2 years then sell it for twice of what you bought the collector's edition for.

RETIRED.

Agreed.
I am there right now but got distracted running some dungeons with the guildies to check them out. Very pleased with the expansion so far.

vash > hyjial 100 times over. Even with 45 horde standing on top of some of the quest givers it was still better. I have only run the blackrock dungeon so far and it is very nice. Some tank and spank but mechanics that weed out the bads. So far so good but I am still not impresses. A friend did get to 84 last night and kept raving about the quest in Uldum so I figure I will get there soon.

81 on the lock, green fire rules, more to come.

9 level 90s and 10 85s, Damn I need another hobby.

Once again, fun seeing you in Hyjal.
Love randomly running into my alliance friends while questing.

We had warmmanger hit 85 last night with several more sitting at 84 right now.
I am totally taking my time

Got mining, herbs and alchemy maxed. Will max out JC on Friday AM. Let the AH games begin.

The herbs and ore are stupidly plentiful, rarely impeded by mobs and re-pop very quickly. I predict the prices for these to settle very quickly.

Graphics were good, although Blizz clearly didn't spend too much time on the overhead views of lower level zones where low level quests are and players won't be flying, such as Ferales.

I was pleasantly surprised that the servers remained up the entire first day.

This, except for the Tauren part. :P

Flying in the main cities is win.

Rabid and his posse easily rolled to 85. It took a while, but I never heard them get hung up on anything. Admittedly, they are all solid players with very good gear, but they pretty much rocked it.

When Rabid hit 85, it was quite interesting to see the server reaction. There was a lot of positive reaction, but I was surprised at how many negative comments were made, along the lines of "Well, if I had a bunch of over-geared groupies to block for me, I could win the rushing title, too." I'd be curious to know who got to 85 first on BH, and what the reactions were.

The biggest complaint I heard was the over-abundance of cinema... when you're trying to quickly get to max level, the movies probably just feel like they're slowing you down after several hours. I did hear, however, many comments about how cool the movies were from people who were not so rushed. So, if you're into the lore, and the whole story of the game, I think you have some fun to look forward to.

Ran an instance over in Blackrock with Corus tanking. Even in my terrible gear with Trasee in her terrible gear, Corus, Nagap and Miggz easily carried us through. Along with a handful of quick, easy pre-instance quests, I got over halfway to 81, and replaced 3-4 pieces of purples with greens. Re-affirmed what I already knew: I'm a bad.

The XP required to gain the last level is 9M. Even with the nice XP awarded for quests, nowadays, 9M is a shit-ton.

Uldum is a cool zone.

Being Horde, and not on BH, is uncomfortable, but the Tempest guys are cool (and nice to old people). :D

Got my first in game msg from Tuhl. Ruled.

As to be expected. Lots of people who were trying to get it as well that were disappointed. Grats to Rabid.
Though it is kinda lame when the way you win is by "blocking" or whatever you described. I assume that means impeding others from getting their first. More of a feat to just do it by yourself.

Number 1, your must return to BH.

Iapeto got server first on BH to 85, priest, and enchanting I think. The blocking term is refering to people helping you and making your run quicker while possibly slowing competition along the way. Think NASCAR. Also, the ore market crashed by the end of the night. Hyjial is horrible for mining even with master flying because everyone is doing the same thing. Mining and waiting for the zone to clear out a little. I am going to work in herby with my druid at some point tonight but right now I am more interested in getting my lock leveled. Iapeto was offering 600g a stack for ore at 2:00 in the afternoon and by midnight ore was 4 pages deep on the ah at about 200g a stack. Having multiple mining/engineers is going to be nice for the volatile air.

Oh did I mention, get back on BH NAO!!!!!

lol jk, I would rather you enjoy yourself and have fun which it sounds like you are.

Didn't mean to imply that they impeded anyone, although I can see how it might read that way. It was more of an extremely well-geared group, working as a team who could roll through content, and quickly dominate instances. They ALL got to 85, and it was touch and go between Rabid and Xahll for first because they were together. I don't know how Rabid nudged ahead of the others, unless he had something that gave him a little percentage XP boost, or something. Others implied that they impeded, but really, they just had their group together, were organized, got started quickly and stuck with it. Of course, once they got ahead of the server, they were first to content, meaning everything was wide open to them as far as collecting items, killing mobs, etc.
