My first game system was an original Nintendo. My dad's company produced some piece of tech that was used in the systems and the President of Nintendo sent him one for free. I was only 1 or 2 at the time. I used to play Duck Hunt and Donkey Kong when I got older.
My dad had Nintendo and Sony (and several other companies) sending him gifts in the mail all the time, but after the Nintendo (which my parents hated) they gave the consoles away to charity. I bought my kids a DS Lite for Christmas this year. I mentioned it to my dad that I bought them one and it was like a glorified version of the Gameboy that I had always wanted. He then proceeded to tell me that he had been given several of them over the years but my mom made him give them away because she thought they were bad for us
The first computer game I played was probably Oregon Trail... Although it might have been something else, like Math Blasters or something. I spent more time reading than playing games tbh
