It's almost like people are talking about things that interest them. Not sure why you feel the need to super-mod discussions in the first place, but if a topic goes in a direction, and the people in that discussion are continuing to talk about the new topic (and not just two people dick-waving), you need to let that shit go.

Pretty sure Mayo hasn't modded much of anything recently. He surveyed the boards and made adjustments to the forum rules based on that and has enforced them appropriately since then. Pull your panties out of your ass crack and leave him alone for a week.

Edit: Just noticed he locked paddy's "look at me" thread, so I'm not quite sure how I feel. I do think that Mayo has a point, especially for those of us who don't feel like walking into a moral or political debate every time we log onto these forums having every single thread diverge into some stupid discussion on the same topics is not fun. I thought we had an argument/political subforum for that kind of stuff anyway?

I'd also like to share for the 10th time that 99.9% of all grievances on these forums could be fixed with a simple split/merge feature. I realize you don't seem to have that ability for whatever reason but dammit go figure out how to get it done!

Srsly though leave mayo/brittany alone for like 7 days, it'll be a special present.

Not all threads devolve into political shit-mires, but this was a thread specifically about the da/dt thread and about the arguments/reasons/replies in it. How do you suppose one person saying "your arguments about X were bad" wouldn't lead to a discussion on those arguments and counter-arguments?

You can't mod good content, if you want diversity in what people are talking about then you need to start and contribute to different threads.
