Until you were older and actually understood what was going on.

Conker's Bad Fur Day.

Final Fantasy VII. I was confused as fuck the first time I played through it but I finally finished it (after numerous give-ups in the decade between) for the second time two years ago. It made a hell of a lot more sense.

Xenogears - One of the best RPG battle systems but the story had so many religious and other philosophical references that went way over my middle-school head. Played it in college and enjoyed it many times more.

Indigo Prophecy - One of the most interesting and overall confusing games I've ever played. Starting off it wasn't so bad, but near the end all my friends and I were joking about how ridiculous it was.

Ghendo - 85 Death Knight

Thanks to that, I beat the game before it was released in stores in my dorm room. My suitemates watched and pointed out every reference in it.

Fuckers make me feel old for not having to play it a second time.

I never played Conker's. Probably should at some point.

Not sure what i'd pick. I don't think i ever played any games when younger which would be explained by age. Final Fantasies don't count, because they'd require narcotics to understand better they're that silly.

you need to plan conker's. i remember playing it in like, fucking grade school and man. your mind is not meant for that at that age. my face when the bee started fucking the flower with giant tits was probably a once in a life time face.

my pick is probably FF9, only because that last boss comes from fucking nowhere and has nothing to do with anything.

Final Fantasy games don't count.

But speaking of Square/Enix games.

I didn't know what the fuck I was doing when I first played Breath of Fire or Chrono Trigger.
