Nope, it doesn't. And this game doesn't make them insanely hard, either. Still, a decent challenge.

By the way, Heroic Lich King is still a mild challenge at 85. Lots of one shot mechanics, you have to be aware of what's going on and what you need to be doing. There's basically only one part that's made significantly easier by outgearing it. Took us 9 minutes to kill him (down from 15 at 80? I didn't play in WOTLK), that's longer than most Cata bosses. He has 29 million HP, Cata bosses have 33 million. Not bad for a raid boss from a previous expansion.

It's a nicely designed encounter, and the only good thing I saw out of WOTLK, then again I wasn't around for Ulduar.

If you know how to PVP decently you are already a better PVE'er because you are going to be more aware of things around you.

I would attribute awareness to having and using a brain. :D

it's ok Azelma, playing a priest made me loathe pvp too. Then I found out how stupid easy druid was in BC and had a good time. Now I only pvp if attacked, that's about it.

The hardest part about raiding is getting the other 9 or 24 or 39 idiots to not get bored and fuck up because they're not paying attention.

I like to compare it to playing Super Mario with 9 of your friends and you each have a button. You'd better hope that Dave knows how to jump or you're doneski.

Until you can get a legendary from PvP, this is a PvE game.

When the supposed PvP tough guys can ace supposedly simple PvE mechanics like running to the correct side of a dragon, and not nerdraging/ninjalogging because they are too proud to admit they consistently fail at entry-level challenges, I'll believe PvP is fundamentally harder than PvE.

That reminds me Aestu, if PvP isn't "fundamentally harder" than PvE how come you never went for Glad? I mean if it's easier than PvP and you have the gear and you talk about PvP Tanking, why not? You'd get a spiffy title and a new mount to add to your collection each season. The way you make it sound it should be a walk in the park.

My PR is 0 and my most prestigious raid title (not acquired in WOTLK at 85) is Jenkins.

Problem?

well i guess you are my hero o/. but the amount of pve/pvp shit talking in this thread is pretty awesome for people who cant do either well. the only hardmodes some of you have done is just Heroic Loot ship.you have yet to truly do some hardmodes in pve and aestu i dont think you have done much in pvp beyond battlemaster(which might be a big deal to some) either way don't comment on shit you haven't really done.Normal mode pve is a joke and the brackets below 2k+ are a joke. If you don't have time to do much pve/pvp then w/e. but dont act like the other shit because you like pve/pvp more and you do one more then the other. jesus fuck i hate my iphone

i don't get this. if you do arenas and your partner fucks up ect. or you do bg's and half the team is shit. you would be "doneski".

Seribus, I don't believe I ever claimed PvP was "easy" or even easier than PvE. As Meowth pointed out, they are apples and oranges.

I don't have glad because I don't arena, and I don't arena because I haven't had occasion to make a commitment to it. It's been on the back burner since TBC. Even through seasons where at least one paladin spec was OP, I just didn't get around to it, just like I haven't gotten around to a number of other things on my very long to-do list in this game.

Unlike Mazeltov or Usdk, I don't need to run away with tail between legs so I can I did not fail, I didn't try. I don't claim to be good at PvP or have experience with it.

I need to be taught to arena because - as you noted - I have no experience with it and do not understand the metagames. I would need to find partners who have experience and patience and that is a fairly tall order given that there are no doubt a good number of free agents that do have experience.

As a matter of fact, though, I was going to make a post looking for arena partners who will have the patience to teach me what I would need to know. I have finished my protribution set and am beginning work on my holy set. I'm also looking for serious RBGs. Yeah, if anyone's interested, please, let me know.

I've done both and I enjoy both. PvP is just harder to do. Not saying PvE in some cases isn't hard because sometimes it is. PvP just has the win on which is harder.

As for the super mario reference. PvP is nothing like super mario. The variables are always changing. PvE, much like Super Mario (refering to the side scroller of course), is a constant with few exceptions. People have gotten to the point in super mario where they can play with their eyes closed. Hell, certain PvE encounters you could do with your eyes closed, least some of the wrath and older ones. Why don't you go and try to PvP with your eyes closed or even in 1st person mode and see how that works out for you. Sorry you didn't get the reference, hopefully now you'll understand better.

Edit: Also Aestu, you should do fairly well in RBGs as a flag runner or defending a node.
