Thaddius.

Ahh right. Of course my favorite part of that fight in Vanilla was that it would overload all the toaster computers in the raid and at least 5 people would DC, and we'd have to call audibles to have them assassinated mid-fight.

we had to have our pulls organized with all the other guilds. i.e, they'd wipe and we'd take a go, because if two guilds pulled it you both lagged out and died instantly. if anymore pulled the server crashed.

Original 4 horsemen was the most technical fight I have ever done. It was brutal but I love it.

Haha, weren't those fun times?

Also WTF "You may embed only 3 quotes within each other." WTFFFFFF.
If it has a restriction it should automatically enforce it (only quote the last thing). I blame Mayo, and probably Akina too.

I liked Algalon a LOT. Mobility, DPS intensive, and great lore to go with it.

Having not raided in vanilla and only raided a little in TBC, this perspective comes from my own experience, athought I have done some vanilla raids just with friends or solo.

1. I would like to see some sort of a 40 man raid boss return as a 40 man. Ragnaros is probably the most likely canidate since he does make his return during this expansion. Make it a 40 man, outdoor but zoned raid with some new mechanics other than stand here and rotate tanks. A possible fight would be to stop him from absorbing other elementals powers by healing them/ breaking his concentration at certian health levels with an enrage or hard mode effect if he does drain an elemental as well as him gaining new powers. For example if he were attacking an air elemental and was able to completely devour the air, he would then do fire and nature damage. These fights should be resistence based so you could not just roll up into the fight and should have a chance to drop a new version of his legendary mace that required the old version to complete it.

2. Yogg, hands down. C'thun maybe, although I have only done the fight at level 70 or higher.

3. Arthas type fight. The multiple phases and little room for error ( remember I only ran ten mans) made it a nice fight. Once people outgeared it, the fight became somewhat boring but that first time you had to burn a valkyr down before it dropped your tank healer or screaming in vent that it picked up a lock and fuck that lock he can portal was awsome.

4. Hyjial, pretty much all of it, was pretty fun.

5. I want a big instance, I mean freaking huge. Like AQ, or the length of Kara with multiple levels. The winged instances are ok because you are given a choice but I want to see a big, several night clear even when you out gear it, instance with tons of bosses. ICC almost gave us this until you could start a raid at 8 and be looking at Rotface by 9 or earlier.

All in all I forgot I still had this up since I started typing it hours ago and had to do some stuff around the office. I really would like to see raids that were harder than stand in front of boss and dont stand in swirly shit. I have been running BWD a bit and like what I see so far.

9 level 90s and 10 85s, Damn I need another hobby.

I loved Kara. That instance was always a lot of fun.

I also really enjoyed Gruul's Lair. Getting to tank as a mage was lots of fun.

Any opportunity to use spell steal is what makes me actually log on my mage. I was stealing the shields in Throne of Tides over the weekend when the healer finally realized what I was doing. I got lots of + internet points for that bit of fun.

Tempest Keep was cool too.

Really TBC I think had some of the more interesting boss encounters in the game. In a sick way, I miss Kara sometimes too....although I spent so much goddamn time there ha.

I've been wanting to redo Kara for a while, actually. I could probably solo it on my priest. Of course, my subscription ran out today and I have no plans to renew in the immediate future, so who knows?

I *adore* spellsteal. Turning into a Demonic Hound in S. Labs, taking a Pally's wings in Arenas, growing HUGE from the Absorb Vitality buff in Kara, getting an enormous spell dmg buff in Botanica, the Rune Shield in Ulduar... the list is endless. Cata dungeons are amazing because there is so much I can spellsteal! It makes so many encounters that much easier.

C'thun was one of the best and worst encounters in this game, and also a huge botch on the part of blizzard.

His original incarnation was unkillable... tentacles continued spawning even in the stun phase, and it was impossible to keep up and put damage on the boss at the same time. It sat like this for MONTHS, and many guilds burned out due to the sheer awfulness of wiping on the boss, and then having that terrible terrible terrible run all the way back. When he finally got fixed, several of the top guilds were able to quickly put him down.

All that being said, it was a very intense fight at 60, requiring a level of strategy and organization that was, until that point, unheard of. Still one of my favorite encounters, though I spent many months smashing my head against an unkillable wall of stupid.

My two favorite moments playing wow were probably the Hakkar blood plague, and the first time we ran into C'Thun's room.
