in southern ct we got about 2 more inches of snow then all freezing rain made for run work time travels

I woke up late, discovered my car had a layer of ice on it that required clearing.

Cracked open the door, started the car, cranked up the music, closed the door and whacked the ice in 3 places.

Watched the vibrations shatter the ice and slide it off. The commute wasn't bad, either.

When we get ice or freezing rain, there are two spot on either side of my van, just above the windshield, where if I punch the ice and shatter it, it lets all the ice on the windshield and side doors fall off.

I like to imagine that it is not like that accidentally.

We're getting more snow Friday, and more snow late next week. My street right now is about an inch thick with solid ice, and then slush and puddles of water on top. Temps tonight are supposed to hit low single digits. Oh, the wonderful world of station wagon ice skating.
