Retarded. How do they transition from level 80 zones to level 85 zones with a 100K HP change?

Isn't Blizz's goal to reduce burst damage and stuff, and also make healing less OMGWTF spammy, so they have increased health pools, and reduced how much HP is taken away in small amounts of time. IE: Tanks are getting completely pwnt less, and in PVP it's less of a "bam bam dead" kinda thing?

IDK.

U mad about the HP levels or something bro?

Except in heroics, where the tanks getting wtfpwnt rule still applies.

you get like 10-15k hp for leveling.

And as a tank, it's more about dmg reduction/avoidance rather than just stacking stam. Had a tank who had 155k hp and was getting completely destroyed because he had very low avoidance/mitigation. My pally has around 140k but is pretty good in the avoidance/mitigation aspect so I don't really struggle with any heroics.

except the goblin pulls on throne of tides...every time...cry.

Level 85 outdoor mobs hit quite hard and even prot paladins are not completely invulnerable. As you level without replacing gear, you will get hit harder and harder, because armor provides less mitigation as your level increases.

Healing at 85 (outside heroic raids) is slow and volumetric. Tanks have great control over their survival at 85; they are no longer meatshields. A skilled tank will survive damage that would be lethal to a less skilled but better geared tank. Healing at 85 is more interesting and skill-based than since TBC, once one overcomes the learning curve.

Tanks at 85 prefer mitigation over stamina, until heroic raids, when stamina again becomes a valuable stat. Mastery is the strongest stats for most tanks, but the weakest for most DPS.

Upon initially hitting 85, most DPS will do significantly less DPS than they did at 80 because their hit/crit/haste will be so low and their damage coefficients so exorbitant. This will usually be corrected by the time they acquire full level 85 fiveman gear. Tanks hit extremely hard at 85 due to Vengeance and large amounts of primary stats on their gear. PvP prot paladins are almost invincible.

haha that I can believe :D

The only raid I've healed thus far is BH but the "learning curb" was like akward because, pre cata talents I healed with nourish alot as is, it was like my go to spell. Then they made the cast time poop and I was like RIP nourish. So I had to get used to using a slow cast heal but other than that it's been easy and really fun. I need better gear to do any other raids though cause a 310-315 isn't going to cut it I don't think D:

@Aestu if anything blood death knights are harder to kill than prot paladins, least as a rogue. Unless you mean blowing LoH and/or having a healbot.

Always pet pull and kill magic users first. Melee only hit hard on the pull.
