What are the most terrifying dreams you've ever had... and did you die in the dream?

I'd had two frequent recurring dreams...

The first is one I had when I was about six to eight years old while my dad was in the Marine Corp. We lived in base housing at the time and we were one of the middle units in a row of the townhouses. On the side of the building we had a small hill. In real life, we called it "Money hill" because my old man would take handfuls of change and throw it on the hill just to watch us gather all we could before the ice cream truck came by. In my dreams, the setting is much like an old static channel; just nothing but black and white static. In the dream I could see depth because there would be some concentrations of black and stuff like shadows so I could tell that it was money hill. The nightmarish part is the sound. It was so loud. It was a deafening sound in my dream and it sounded like thousands of people screaming at the top of their lungs - at me. I was always the only one on the hill, too. I'd wake up seconds after the static started.

The second dream was a childhood nightmare, too. Same age, I'd say. It had the same loud static sound I had in the first one but I think I'd die in this one. It was always me sitting or standing in the bathtub by myself. The faucet on the bathtub would be running a warm water as the tub was filling up. At some point, the water would stop... then the faucet would rocket into my body like there was a million pounds of pressure built up in the pipes. The water always pinned my body against the wall so I was unable to move. The sound of the static (water, I'm guessing) would always drown out my screams and cries for help. I always remember the bathwater being blood red. I don't remember ever seeing the actual hole in my body, though. I'm guessing I would die in the dream but I'm not sure if I would wake up because of that damn static sound or if I wake up because I died.

I had a dream one time that my lesbian friend slipped me a drug that turned me into a girl, she proceeded to rape the shit out of me after this. Some might have considered this an awesome dream

i had two dreams when i was young

one where my stuffed bear, blue bear started multiplying rapidly around me in bed, and eventually drowned me underneath. Was terrifying.

I had one other dream where my mom pushed me off a ski lift and i fell to my death. It was a good dream.

Dont know, im fucked, i just felt that the second one made me happy for some reason at the time...

I just had a dream about raiding and I lost the roll for some really good trinket and then tried to lie about my roll then, for some reason it was proven (why they couldn't see the log is beyond me) that I lied like 5 minutes later and everyone made fun of me.

I like, don't even fucking understand. Maybe it's cause I'm sick coupled with the insomnia. Or maybe it means I'll be king of america one day. idk.


On Topic: The only dream I have a lot of involves me getting eaten by a crocodile/alligator.

I can't recall any specific dreams off the top of my head except one and it's vague because I was around 6. I do remember things that happen often though, which is weird. I'll leave the nightmares out because those are fucked up by definition.

Popping pipes sounds (on top of everything else) = bad or WEIRD is currently happening, the fuck. Happens in my apartment everyday but it's not like it's a mystery why they happen.
Collapsing bridges is very common in that land, literal bridges or weird ones. I'm usually straight in the middle.

Oh and faces that morph. Faces shouldn't morph, ever. No. Fuck that.

The weirdest early one, my memory of it anyway:
A silhouette (in between white and dark) with a face, female but unrecognizable, with two non-opaque "angelic halos", one attached to top of head and one around the head in front of the eyes, missing her right arm, communicating that "this is death". I can vaguely remember the face and voice, but never witnessed em before, it's just made up and weird.

And that wasn't scary, it's just a level of weird that comes back to memory from time to time.

Had a dream one time that I flipped our SUV in an icestorm (lolwut, no traction). I was in a coma for three years, during that time:

My parents divorced under the stress of all the medical bills
My girlfriend (of 4 years as of Feb 2011) moved on because she gave up hope
My kids were about 5 years old and experiencing behavior problems due to 'losing' their father
My dog that I've had since 7th grade died of old age.

Pretty much the culmination of all things shitty rolled into one convenient nightmare. I woke up crying hysterically and freaking out and wondering wtf was going on, because it seemed so real and I had been taking Nyquil or something cause I was sick so I was extremely groggy.

Taking an extended hiatus from gaming

Most of my dreams are odd and interesting, but for the longest time I could not remember any of them and claimed I did not have dreams. I think this was due in part to me only getting about 3 hours sleep for a decade or more. I do remember vividly having horrible nightmares after watching the movie Vamp which stared Grace Jones as some sort of stripper vampire. I would wake up screaming and sweating my ass off clutching my neck. Of course I was only about 10 but I could not watch horror movies literally until I was 25 and I still do not really enjoy them,

Pt2;

As a kid I used to have this crazy dream about sharks swimming up the street and attacking me. (It was totally ridiculous, but seemed plausible in the dream.) It used to scare the crap out of me.

I have another dream where I am on a plane and it starts to fall through the sky. Everything is spinning and then we suddenly make impact and everything goes *bam* BLACK. I wake up with a startle every time.

The worst dreams I have ever had revolve around a couple of traumatic events I've experienced. Usually it is me reliving them or projecting guilt.
