It's really really hard to not set the dorms on fire.

For real.

What a mistake.

My university dorms were really nice. :(

It was just my roommate I wished I could have lit on fire.

I kind of enjoyed the noise and commotion of people (but not their company) when I lived in dorms.

I would sometimes get what I called "pilgrims" - people who came to my door telling me that they were told that someone very smart lived there. Sometimes they would try to philander me into doing their thinking for them or work some sort of mojo to make them ace the next test; just as often, they expected me to "say something smart", whatever that means.

I always got along terribly with my roommates. I keep strange hours and have unusual hobbies (other than WoW) which people found unsettling. Eventually, the school just gave me a room to myself to stop the QQ - just like high school had given me a diploma in exchange for a promise to never set foot on campus again.

I got so lucky in this regard - me and my roommate were the only ones out of our group of friends that liked one another. Enough that during our sophomore year, we lived together again. Granted, our freshman year the dorm we lived in fucking sucked. It had about 10 square feet of free space after the desks/closets/beds were moved in. It was apparently a single room that they decided to shove two people in. However, we did have a little balcony with a great view, so that kinda made up for it.

My roomate trolls reddit and rages while playing TF2 constantly. He also constantly watches different tv shows, like he just finished watching a kids cartoon series: Adventure time, which is legitamately awesome.

He is also probably the most angry short non violent person you will ever meet. I am scared for when he will explode, you cant have that much concentrated anger and not let it out other than cursing pyros and spies.

He is a new roomate, no longer the dude who screwed three diferent girls in one night and one while i was sleepign in the same room. He made a friend so i got a new roomate who is awesome.

I briefly had a roommate when I was in prep school. She cried all day and night for 3 weeks because she was homesick. It made getting sleep really difficult and started really bothering me (along with a bunch of other annoying BS, like taking my clothes/makeup/etc without asking). Initially I got a new roommate and she got her own room until she said she was too lonely and wanted to switch back. I wasn't having it, so V and V became roommates and I got my own room. Stayed that way until I left for Europe.

In college I lived in Graduate Student housing. They were little one bedroom houses and came fully furnished. I loved living there :) My college friends came over to my place to study or to escape their roommates.

I took Latin at CSUS during high school. The campus had chickens that were allowed to roam freely over the campus. Chickens are stupid and ornery creatures, and sometimes they would get underfoot or wander behind someone walking through the automatic doors into the buildings, then get stuck inside.

One day, as I walked back from class to the bike racks, a rooster, strutting proudly around the campus in all his 18-inch-tall glory, started crowing loudly. A strange man suddenly walked out around a corner. He pointed at the rooster and insidiously whispered,

"They used to be postgraduates..."

My freshman year I had two roommates. The first was a spoiled annoying bro douchebag. We didn't get along and I would do what I could to mess with him. The first semester I had a class an hour before he did, so I'd leave and wait for a minute outside the door until I heard him lock it. Another minute and I'd have my key ready and burst in. He'd bolt upright in his chair, vaseline and tissues on his desk. I'd act like I forgot something, grab a pencil or some shit and be out again. If I was feeling particularly asshole-ish, I'd do it again after another minute or so. He never learned, despite doing it to him at least twice a week every week.

My second roommate was an uber-nerd. He had a lisp, one whole shelf full of his d&d books, one shelf full of anime robots he put together (he put about 2 together a week), and spent all of his extra time playing an rpg on his dreamcast with headphones on. He was pretty much the best roommate I could have gotten.

I find this amusing, as I picked a school 6 hours away because I want nothing to do with my home/family.

She was from a town about 30 miles away. I was 2100 miles from home. It was pretty funny tbh.

I went to a public university with pretty small dorms, but my roommates ruled and a cleaning lady did the bathrooms so I have no complaints. Whiners.
