I'd made a series of extremely critical, but also insightful, posts on the General forum through most of the day while playing the game with my other hand and monitor. Nothing I said was in the least trolling, but much of it was extremely critical of Blizzard policy. Later in the evening I noticed Rygarius, apparently fed up, started moving and locking threads. Of course, I expected a ban, and of course I noticed the characteristic bit of lag upon hitting New Topic and knew what to expect. I had, of course, previously received a final warning:

...and so I expected a banhammer. In response to that particular topic of discussion, I had CC'd the emails between the Mod Squad and myself to the ADL and ACLU. Neither responded directly to me, but if you look at the Alucard recruitment form, it no longer includes the relevant parts.
The dialogue finally ended,
Quote:
Hello,
If they have something like that on their guild website, the link is definitely not allowed on our forums. If they continue to post the link, please report any such threads. The comment about calling a guild not good, as previously mentioned, is not allowed. While the contents of most your post were fine, targeting a guild, regardless of the intention, is not allowed. A forum account may also have its post history removed, this is often regular protocol for a suspension.

Anyway, I expected to be permabanned over one of the many deeply critical posts I'd written.
Instead:

Because, you know, Blizzard doesn't tolerate that shit.
I lol'd hard.
