I didn't go to Uldum today (which seems to be the epicenter), but even Hyjal is full of them. You can tell for sure when you click on them and they only have 80k or so health and are still wearing almost all Wrath gear at 85.

I reported the bulk of them. There were at least a half dozen hackers botting underground.

Phantomblade, Forsaken rogue. I caught him in the Deepfin area of Vashj'ir. I managed to target him a few times but he was using a terrian hack so I could not actually shoot him from my hunter. I also tried dropping freezing traps when I would pick a flower but i always seem to just miss him. Reported to Blizz, typical response.

BTW I checked his armory today and apparently someone was able to kill him a few times because all of his gear appears to be broken.

There is a hack, and no I have no idea how, that allows people to travel below the ground. Since nodes actually have a pretty big "hit box" you can harvest them from below as well. There was a huge issue with this back in the beginning of LK in Wintersgrasp where people would literally go underground to the chamber and plant explosives and win the bg in under five minutes. If you ever go to a node that is not phased and it says currently in use, watch the ground around you and see if you can notice anything that looks like a player or player items. This guys sword gave him away because it stuck up out of the ground a little, and the point of his helm. Blizzard somehow "fixed" this in Wrath but it was never really discussed and like Aestu's post or reply about the issue, most information about the subject disapeared. My reply from a gm stated the normal bullshit about account privacy and they would look into it but that they do bans in waves, not on an individual basis. Which means this bullshit will keep up until they loose quite a few players. It also mentioned that it could be a hacked account and they would look into it. The solution would be to lock an account that is reported for botting/hacking and force the user to log into the battlenet site, just like when I got locked out for playing from a different IP address a few weeks ago. I play from work during lunch and we had a firewall crash and I got pushed out the secondary which showed as three different IP in a short timeframe so they locked out my account and I had to go the the account page and changed my password to get back in and since I have an authenticator i woudl be the only one that could do such a thing. Either way Blizzard is not going to do shit until it hits them in the checkbook, which if this keeps up I may have to take my 30 bucks a month elsewhere.

Gear does not suffer durability loss in PvP. More likely, his terrain hack bugged and he fell through the world and had to spirit rez.

Actually what happens is that assholes like me find a way to kill them and they spirit rez or they get close enough to the surface to get hit by mobs 10 levels higher than them. The bot I camped in Hyjial a few weeks ago was spirit rezing because a basalisk had tagged him and he could not get in the air. he did not fight back he just took the damage and died but the mobs were too close to the gy. When I caught him I just camped him until I got bored. There may however be a but with spirit rezing as well, I dont know.

Researching the spirit rez possibility, I will edit if I find anything.

I don't see blizzard doing anything. Here's why, many of the offenders of this kind are "casual" players with disposable income. It's the same reason Chinese gold sellers still exist. These people can't play all the time, so they cheat (buy gold, download haxor mods, whatever). This is where Blizzard makes most of their money (all of Wrath showed how "casual gamers" are exactly what Blizzard likes)

Activision has shareholders to respond to, and if Blizzard starts cutting off revenue streams (that's all we are, btw...each one of us), then they are lowering revenue, losing subscribers, and pissing off the big boys at the top. The only way it will hit Blizzard in the checkbook is if they do it to themselves...not nearly enough people will quit over it to make the mass bans financially viable.

Ahh corporations. :)

I'm insulted that the bot report does not mention me.

Google searching for mining/terrain hacks makes no mention of spirti rez hacks. The armor is mentioned though because the do not spend any gold on repairs and vendors will not buy damaged gear so they just leave it until it dies.
