The people who are on weed that are applying for welfare might be where they're at because they're living the pothead lifestyle.
Very solid point Jubber, and actually now that I think about it - this has made me realize something. Recreation should be
earned. If you hold a job, work hard, and continue to do so...then you have "earned" the right to indulge in vices in my mind. If you are on welfare instead of finding a job, and are being a lazy sack-of-shit-pot-head, then fuck you...I hope you test positive and Uncle Sam stops paying for your Jimi Hendrix albums and primo Purple Haze Ganja.

I used to think that, then I watched some people who started smoking pot. It turns you into a lazy, useless fuck. They became less and less motivated until they were just doing the bare minimum to pay the bills and be able to smoke...which they did constantly. That's not everyone, and I know some people who smoke every now and again and hold a job and take care of their shit,
Pot is like anything else in this world - too much of a good thing is most definitely bad. Just like people can drink too much, fuck too much (Tiger Woods), smoke too much, or masturbate too much, or simply smell too much of their own farts (Aestu), people can smoke too much weed.
However, I have known enough people who smoke, but lead highly effective lives, that I don't think the problem is the drug itself. If you were to have that logic, then alcohol should be "really bad" because a great number of people become alcoholics.

As long as pot is illegal it should remain in this legislation. That's some really limp dick reasoning you have there.
See above. As a taxpayer, you and Jubber have convinced me of this fact. Pot, in my mind, SHOULD be legal. However, it isn't. Therefore, it fits perfectly into this legislation.
