Krizen, your anger is detracting from your status as KoS (King of Shitfest). Make a thread about swag - NOW!

This is one of the biggest reasons why nobody takes you seriously.

And your gibbing is one of the biggest reason why no one takes you seriously.

i had a reason why fat people aren't taken seriously, but I think it was more mean than funny so here is a video.

EDIT: I saw Krizen in the title and didn't bother reading until now, and only out of sheer boredom. Only read the last few pages.

My mother (like I said) is an accountant. Prior to moving to CA and becoming a full-time housewife, she worked in the World Trade Center. When the footage flashed on TV, she was absolutely agape. She said she'd have known many of the people on the casualty list, people she hadn't seen for years. But she as much as everyone else thought the response was inappropriate, that Bush just used the thing to do what he came into office intending to do, and that the Sacramentans who were making a big deal about it were just a bunch of bigoted flag-humpers.

About this time, I was employed by an old German Jew who was forced out of his native country, digitizing his documentation about his ancestors and editing his book about their history. While I worked, he would sit in his dingy green recliner and watch the news on a bureau-style TV. Whenever Bush came on the screen, he'd instantly shut it off, pace for about five minutes, then sit down and turn it back on. When I asked him why he was doing this, he said, bitterly, "I don't want to see him." Later, he said, "Ethan, when I see all these flags around, I find it very disturbing. You know, when the National Socialists came to power [he never referred to them as "the Nazis"], they made everyone put up a flag in front of their homes, it was a form of control. And I see the same thing here."

obviously a politician is going to use a tragedy to push through legislation.

these tragedies get remembered too. i don't understand why everyone is assuming nobody remembers these things, this was a thread about 9/11 made on 9/11. and timothy mcveigh was the bomber why exactly would you want to remember him?

PS. I need a recap and explanation as to why there is 9 pages in this thread and why it went from Serious to Angriest.

Because I doubt there is a million single posts simply answering the question.

PPS. I was home sick from school, and when it happened, I didn't not realize the severity of it all for a number of hours. Even my hysterical mom wasn't enough of a clue.

Was probably the brain denying reality.

At the time, my father was off on a business trip. The morning of the incident he called me up frantically. I get my vent voice from my father if you get my drift. He sounds pretty out of it, and he's really histrionic. All the time.

He began by mentioning some trite issue with his itinerary then said that he'd be delayed or something because "the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, etc, all bombed". I didn't really catch the import of what happened. I didn't think he was being paranoid or something, I wasn't listening to what he was saying, I just heard him rambling. "Ok Dad, okay...okay...okay..." Nothing further to say. I then hung up.

Somehow the TV got turned on. Then the footage started rolling in. That was when my mother walked into the living room and stood there watching this in shock. I was totally cool, and already thinking ahead: "how is Bush going to use this". That, and not the incident itself, worried me.

Today I make it a rule to skip class and work and never go outside on three days: April Fools, 9/11, and Ronald Reagan's birthday.
