No in reality, clearly the education system in America is also fucked up...but it's not old people with guaranteed jobs that are preventing the youth from entering the workforce...I think it's more a lack of jobs in general, or a lack of demand for people with non-professional degrees.
I still think that places like Greece and France (note: not equating the two situations Tuhl...I would have said "respectively" if I were) are slightly worse off than the US at this point. The US certainly is headed down that road though.
